DLA Wait times part 20… (2023)

Following on from part 19 as it’s about to become full.

@Ilovemychildren123 hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer, when I last rang they told me early next year so I’ve not rang again, sick of being told different things😵‍💫

@Luevzamum i rang yesterday they told me 23.5 weeks so fingers crossed x

@Ilovemychildren123 well I just worked it out and I’m 23 weeks on Friday so maybe next week I could hear something, would be nice to have it all sorted before Christmas, it litterally consumes your life keep checking and phoning all the time. 😵‍💫

They told me 17 & half weeks but can be 2 weeks either side to give them some wiggle room, I’ve asked for a txt but she says it won’t tell me the decision just that 1 has been made

@Luevzamum we are 22 weeks on Thursday so I will call up on 30th November which is 24 weeks hopefully get a decision then. Fingers crossed for you and keep me posted please x

@Mommaof2babas Hey hun, thank you so much for asking, but as of yet nope no update I’m still waiting apparently if only went to a DM yesterday, both people I spoke to today and yesterday they both said that I will receive a text message and to call back once I get that for dates I don’t know if that’s any indication or not I don’t want to assume but I have a strong gut feeling it’s a decline I don’t know why 🫣 so I’m keeping myself busy with decorating lol

@Sockbabies @Mummyrach13 I had left notes on my journal every day in end I made complaint yesterday today I got the letter how much they owe me and when it be in bank

Omg! I’ve seen quite a few who have been done quite quickly! I asked yesterday and they were like there’s no time scale blah blah xx

And I know it’s ridiculous mine will be at the bottom of the pile knowing me 😅😅 I’ll keep ringing 9am everyday till answer I just want to know or prepare for MR! Longer the wait makes you more anxious doesn’t it? I really don’t know how they work this all now I don’t as all different dates xxxxxx

Also anyone know what time they stop working? What time they stop sending texts etc? Xxxxx

@Mummyrach13 I hope yours is done soon. Just keep bugging them so they don't put you at the bottom of the pile. After the anxiety of waiting for dla I didn't have the patience to be messed around by uc when they are quick enough to take money when you owe it too them. I knew if I left it I wouldn't hear anything for weeks 🤣 xx

Hey, I’m a newbie to the group, my scan date is 19/7. This wait really is a killer!!
Can I ask, I keep seeing posts about carers element on UC, is this for them that are currently on UC?
Im a SAHM so have no earning and my partner works away we don’t claim any kind of benefits so would I be able to put in for the carers element or carers allowance? ( does the entitlement depend on my partners earnings?

Yeah that’s what’s annoying @Mumto2sengirlsxx i totally get they are probably have a huge amount of workload too but if your to owe them there quick to take it. If I haven’t heard anything by next week I will contact them again xx

@Rebeccanew my scan dates 12/07 I believe I'm also at the bottom of the pile. As the man today said your in a pile to go to a DM next week.
You should call again in the morning as they don't always send texts. Yes the waiting definitely makes u so nervous xxx
