@TezZaX congrats lovely!!

NatalieAnn92x · 06/11/2023 14:35

@MumOf5Skids i requested 22/5 & had to have them back on the 3/7. I haven’t heard about my award decision yet but they scanned mine on the date it was due back aswell & worried it wouldn’t be backdated until then if I get awarded. As soon as I hear about my award and if I get accepted I’ll see if they backdate until then. Have you rung up and asked?

Tmxx · 06/11/2023 14:36

I’ve just got off the phone…just under an hour until I got through.
Told it now takes 17 weeks to go to a case manager and then probably another 2 weeks after that will be a decision (but depends if they need to contact you or others or if they already have enough evidence to make a decision).
They did receive my extra evidence I’ve sent and it’s with his application.
No other updates I’m afraid 😣

TezZaX · 06/11/2023 15:00

@Tmxx absolutely! Over the moon 😊. I honestly didn't expect it, it's been a long 18/19 weeks xx

Myl1984 · 06/11/2023 15:38

Hey, i was wondering if anyone is able to answer my question, I’ve got a meeting with educational psychologist and SENCo tomorrow on how best to help my child in school and at home, this is the first time I’ve met with her, is the report classed as the EHCP? And if not is it worth sending in the report from Ed psychologist? I’m 16 weeks on Wednesday so hoping the report doesn’t take to long to come through

Doymum · 06/11/2023 15:53

@Myl1984 i waited for an hour but that was at lunch time

LGR004 · 06/11/2023 15:55

@Hannahlou94xx hey have you got the back pay yet? ❤️ LO was awarded last Thursday was released back pay Thursday afternoon, lady said 3-5 days just wondered if that was the case for you because it would be 3 days for you today and wouldn’t it? Xx

No, it won't be classed as an EHCP. The EHCP is organised via the Local Authority and you would be kept informed of each stage (Request of Needs Assessment, Acceptance or refusal, Needs Assessment, acceptance or refusal of EHCP, EHCP draft and then finalised EHCP)

However - that report will be very good evidence for your DLA claim!

BoyMumGirlMum2022 · 06/11/2023 16:01

@PinkMoscatoLover do you know how long after you receive your UC letter it takes til you get back payment? They've finally sent the letter through my journal, but it hasn't got any date. Have left another message but just wondered if your wisdom extended the uc side of things.

If your child's school hasn't already applied for an EHCP and they have SEN and need significant additional support at school; have a look at applying yourself. The IPSEA website explains everything very clearly.

Agree with others the EP report will be good evidence for the DLA claim.

CourtneyLxx · 06/11/2023 16:09

No it’s not an EHCP but definitely worth sending in, my child’s educational psychologist report is what got her rewarded I’m sure of it xx

Raych1989 · 06/11/2023 16:10

Got my decision on Friday with a scan date of 04/07. Backpay is in my bank tomorrow 🥳.

Good luck to everyone still waiting and everyone doing an MR . xx

Helenlogismumma · 06/11/2023 16:17

I’ve sent in 2 eps reports they’re normal really good evidence.

MummyRach79 · 06/11/2023 16:18

Just parking up here…I’ve been reading the thread for a couple of days!

scanned 18/7

No texts! 🤷‍♀️ have however received a letter they will be working on my claim in due course.

Hope this week goes well for those mums expecting a decision 🤞

Myl1984 · 06/11/2023 16:34

Been with a decision maker since last week, still no decision.
this process of far tooo long. Asked for a text when the decision is made. Lady was very lovely so didn’t complain like I wanted to.
decision make’s apparently have up to two weeks to make a decision.

Helenlogismumma · 06/11/2023 16:47

I’ve been award I am literally crying!
high care , low mobility till 2027

Jneill2021 · 06/11/2023 16:51

@Helenlogismumma amazing news 😊x

Mummyof5kiddos · 06/11/2023 16:51

Thank you everyone, that’s so good to hear, hopefully it won’t take to long for the report to come 🤞 I’ve only sent in the cahms referral as evidence, everything seems to be taking forever with waiting lists to get any help

Jude82 · 06/11/2023 16:56

@Mummyof5kiddos That is not classed an EHCP no but it’s definitely worth sending in. I sent an Ed psych report and SEN plan in with my son’s application, (not been awarded yet though). I think any evidence is worth sending in. The Ed Psych report won’t be ready immediately though, you may wait few days or weeks. Mention tomorrow that you would like the report as soon as physically possible by email because you need it for evidence and that might hurry it along

Hannahlou94xx · 06/11/2023 16:57

@LGR004 I had the letter today stating my son had been awarded and that I'll recieve the back pay by the 7/11 , havnt had anything yet so guessing it will be tomorrow xx

Jude82 · 06/11/2023 16:58

@Helenlogismumma 👏🏻 congratulations x
