Following on from part 16…..

Quiet a lot, nursery reports, SAL and so on. Let’s put it this way my letter to DWP was just under 1,5 kg 🫢

@Raych1989 im going to ring again tmrw hopefully it will be with a DM if not monday, by the end of next week we should both have some good news hopefully 🤞🏻makesure u let me know if u hear anything

I’m on the phone now & the woman is telling me that the systems are down she can only access certain bits of information & that basically my daughters birth certificate has been lost

@Hannahlou94xx thanks sweet, I think I’ve got till mid next week now I’m still on hold but I have very very little hope now :( 1hr still waiting been with DM since Monday morning xx

This might sound silly but when you update UC do you need to call them as well as putting a note on your journal and doing the change of circumstance xx

@LGR004 I rang yesterday morning and was told no decision had been made yet then just after mid day the decision maker called me , asked a few questions then told me my son was being awarded and gave me the rates xx

😕wow, that is awful. Especially because you have to send the original birth certificate and not a copy of it. So sorry this has happened.

What have they said the next steps are? Are they going to look for it and contact you if it’s been found? I saw someone on FB say that DWP also lost their child’s birth certificate but 4 weeks later it was found and finally sent back to her. Hoping something like that will happen with you🤞🏾

No need to call them. You’ve done all that’s needed via the COC page and leaving the note on your journal. You’ll get a response soon:)

Yes I’m 29/06. Went to decision maker on Monday too but not heard anything and too scared to call xx

Phoning up for the first time today. Not sure when my application was scanned in. They text me on 19/9 and 9/10. I’ve just had to give up a part time job because I couldn’t even manage 15 hours a week, issues at school, school refusing and threats of self harm had made it impossible to go into work most week so had to drop it. I think I sent my application in July but can’t really remember - summer was long and difficult. Best of luck to everyone.

@Mummyto3ds I’m scan date 19/07 and received my last text 16/10 so your scan date must be the week before me

I sent the birth certificate in the envelope they sent 6 weeks ago, when I called before the woman said sometime they can be 4weeks behind but rarely so it’s likely it’s lost & they can’t be held responsible for Royal Mail & I should have sent it recorded delivery.
I said if I’d known that was an option i would have but the letter stated to use the envelope provided!

@LGR004 it's awful isn't it, I rang yesterday and the woman was so rude to me basically telling me to shut up and wait. I will be ringing again tomorrow as it really isn't ok for it to be past 18 weeks with no end in sight

@Mum2TribeOf7 honestly we must of had the same lady yesterday I could of flipped the way she spoke to me but had to keep my cool… holding out till mid next week now I given up with it this week now xx

I just spoke to dla I'm on week 16, (initially told 11 week wait from june) they have said 22-25 weeks now!! So I think the wait times will just continue to go up and up.
