Still not with decision maker. Spoke to someone other day who said should be any time in the next week to be told today up to 19 weeks. Lord knows. I'll be ringing back again Friday so will update then x

Courtneymxo · 31/10/2023 16:47

Just got off the phone, lovely lady, said its taking 17.5 weeks to get to a case manager, i'm on week 18 on Friday, she said it won't be much longer, scan date 30/6 x

4LittleFirecrackers · 31/10/2023 16:52

I had a call earlier for an update on DC said it’s going to medical team for advice, I’ve had a missed call off a mobile number (won’t allow me to call it back) do you think it’s DLA again? Not going to get through at this time mind x

Raych1989 · 31/10/2023 16:53

We have both just been on the phone and both told a 2 week time difference 🤣🤣 she was a lovely lady I spoke to though but think they are now having to overestimate. I'm hoping by next Tuesday I'll have a decision as that will be 18 weeks. Good luck to everybody waiting decisions

Mummyrach13 · 31/10/2023 16:58

@4LittleFirecrackers ive seen people say they’ve had a call from a mobile number that they can’t call back and it has been DLA, maybe call them tomorrow morning and find out x

Sharnipoo · 31/10/2023 17:41

Thankyou,we will wait together, long wait ahead I think 🤔

MumofLou · 31/10/2023 18:36

@LGR004 did you hear anymore today?? I got a text to say we have qualified!!! I don't know amounts etc but you will definitely hear soon hun, im sure we were in the same pile! Xx

Mumofthree003 · 31/10/2023 18:40

I called this morning and was told it went to the DM yesterday.
Had a text this afternoon that a decision has been made.
Scan date 29/06

Didnt get chance to call this afternoon.

If it has been accepted, does anyone know if I update UC, will it make a difference to being entitled. We are on the system, but don’t get any UC pay as me and dad work and are just over the cut off.
So not sure if I even need to update UC 🤷‍♀️

Mumto2oneofeach · 31/10/2023 19:20

Does anyone else feel low and depressed from this waiting?
i honestly Feel drained… my little boy needs answers! This is beyond a joke I’m week 17 waiting 😞
I’m not even bothering with attempting a phone call I phoned at week 13 to be told first week of November and after seeing lots of post about more waiting I’m done in. X

Mummyrach13 · 31/10/2023 19:41

I am feeling pretty rubbish now!
seems lots of awards after our date and it’s been with a DM for 6 days apparently.
I just want to know either way now it’s exhausting. X

I hear you - 20/6 and lots of people later getting news. Know it’s with a case manager but no idea of timings and just having to sit and wait with no indication as to what’s happening

Tmxx · 31/10/2023 19:50

Can't even imagine how your all feeling! I feel done at week 16 let alone longer! 😔 xx

4LittleFirecrackers · 31/10/2023 19:54

Me too, feel like I just want to go to bed and cry, I can’t possibly think of anything else knowing it’s imminent, Not sure what to make from todays phone call and what the medical team use to decide if we’re entitled, bit worried I’ve not expressed DC needs enough on paper for them to understand everything we have and continue to go through. Most people that seem to get a call then get a text later on to say awarded, I’ve not heard so I’m assuming it’s a decline.

4LittleFirecrackers · 31/10/2023 19:55

@muddlingalong your well before me too, it’s so draining I hope I’m not still waiting in 10 days! Not sure how I’m supposed to function at work tomorrow

If you’re awarded MRC or HRC then you can apply for the carer element and the disabled child element. If you’re awarded LRC then you can apply for the disabled child element only.

The amounts will get added to your entitlement but all elements are still subject to deductions based on your earnings. So it all depends really!

LGR004 · 31/10/2023 20:06

@MumofLou congratulations hun!! So happy for you your wait is finally at an end 🤩❤️ ! && yes I did get through she told me to call back on the 10th for a decision :( everyone from 29 is starting to get awarded now and I’m so happy for everyone!!! Just so deflated for myself.. fingers crossed a decision is made soon x

LGR004 · 31/10/2023 20:13

@Mummyrach13 i know sweet it’s a horrible process this end bit ain’t it :( fingers crossed you get your decision by Friday latest , I’m feeling a little bummed out getting told a decision will be made by 10th and to call back then when people are going to dms and getting awarded within a day or 2 it’s great of course just wish that was the case for everyone but we will get there in the end ! Congrats everyone for the awards today it’s been a good day for awards ❤️❤️

Asdmummyhere · 31/10/2023 20:21

Is there 2 different text messages then? One saying your child has qualified and another saying a decision has been made? x

Mummyrach13 · 31/10/2023 20:27

I’ve seen 2 messages circulating @Asdmummyhere one says your child qualifies and the other says a decision has been made and will notify by post. But I seen on fb that the Decision text lead to a decline for most but not 100% sure that’s for each one.

@LGR004 it literally is soul destroying now and I can’t help but think the worst. Just so thankful for this chat as it helps but I’m feeling emotional and fed up this evening.
I’m not going to call again now unless I don’t hear anything for a couple weeks x
