Does it really go by area? Weren’t sure about that if so where abouts are we all? 😂 I’m in Devon x

Let’s say the week you’re claim was scanned in, only 1000 other people in Devon had claims scanned in for that week. Whereas in South London (where I am), 5000 people sent in their claims the same week as me. When it’s allocated to a DM, the Devon pile will be smaller to get through then the South London pile.

So sometimes you think ‘oh why hasn’t a decision been made when it’s been with a DM for four days’ but it really depends on how much claims they have to get through within their pile. It’s not that your claim will be the only claim that the DM has received if that makes sense!

Rebeccanew · 30/10/2023 10:13

Thankyou for your reply hopefully 18 weeks another week half to go good luck to you also x

Mummyrach13 · 30/10/2023 10:15

Ooh not far from me! @Hannahlou94xx the lady was very vague with me last week too she told me they all get assigned to a case worker/DM as soon as they arrive and then worked through at there pace so who knows what happens. That’s interesting if it’s area as seen a beginning of July scan date post on Fb that she had a call from DLA Bristol. At least all this chatting about it passes the time regardless of how it’s done 😂 x

Anyone else from Bedfordshire. In going to call 2nd week of November, seems like their pushing wait times further and further away

@RMNofTikTok wow! Congratulations! Glad your child got the decision they deserve and been waiting for !

Thank you so much. D, whilst she masks her autism quite well for everyone else, is violent to me and will hit me up to 40 times a day. In January nobody believed me. So I'm just shocked and relieved!

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 10:44

@RMNofTikTok sorry you’ve had all that stress :( completely understand, must be hard when you’ve got people that don’t believe in you or make out they know different or better, you know your child better than anyone! Again congratulations! 🌈

Hey guys.. any one get any luck on UC backdating after getting the award, and if so.. how long did it take to go into account.

Doymum · 30/10/2023 10:49

I've just applied, I'll update when it happens!

NatalieAnn92x · 30/10/2023 10:56

Hey lovelies!

I’ve been reading these for months hoping someone w/ the same scan date as me is close!

My scan date is 3/7 & praying if I send in extra evidence today it’ll get through in time! I finally after 3 years got an ADHD diagnosis for my 10yo! I’ve not had a decision yet but fingers crossed for us all around this date 🤞🏻xx

MrsZzz · 30/10/2023 10:57

Congratulations @RMNofTikTok - you must feel vindicated!

@Sskanf I’m in Bedfordshire - what’s your scan date? I’m 6/7 and called this morning - was told another 10 days or so

Have you already received the letter on your journal informing you on how much the back paid amount is? If so, the amount will usually take 3-5 working days to go into the account

Charlotte19xxx · 30/10/2023 11:08

No not received nothing like that. Just that it’s been passed to case manager. :) x

Caroline6623 · 30/10/2023 11:09

I’m still on tax credits, does anyone know how long they take to back date any money?

Mdavies2023 · 30/10/2023 11:11

1hr 9 mins and got through to update, lovely woman who added the extra evidence on for me. Gave no indication of when a decision could be made but I didn't ask as I'm 20/07 and know there's weeks away yet by the sounds of it. Good luck everyone x

Ah got you! There’s no time frame unfortunately, it depends how long it takes the DM to approve everything. Hopefully it’ll be done in a few weeks!

Doymum · 30/10/2023 11:24

Hi guys finally got through they have received and scanned in the extra information was told it’s in a queue and basically be another 4 weeks and to call back then. Glad they have revived the extra information but gutted it’s going to take another 4 weeks. Really wish they would stop sending me letters saying 15 weeks.

Leighs2gorgeousboys · 30/10/2023 11:24

RMNoftiktok glad your wait is finally over!! Congratulations 😀

I was awarded last Wednesday scan date 20/6 award letter came today, a lot quicker than i thought. Have seen a couple of posts saying that if you get a text it wont tell you if you have been awarded, i received a text and it does tell you.
When i rang last wednesday and got the decision a lovely lady explained how much the back pay is and from what date, and when the next payment is due, then every 4 weeks after going forward.
If they don't give you that information then do ask, as it's helpful if on UC to update immediately, rather than waiting on award notice through post.
Hope that helps.
The anxiety of going through this is something i never felt possible, so know how you're all feeling, i wish you all the best and hope you all hear very soon xx
