Hannahlou94xx · 30/10/2023 09:36

22 minutes on hold so far , was told a week or so ago "a decision will be made any day now" yet here I am listening to "we are currently experiencing high call volumes" again lol xx

Surely you will have an answer today!! 🤞🤞 xx

muddlingalong · 30/10/2023 09:42

Doe anyone know what the difference between a decision maker and a case manager is?

Finally cracked and called. 19 weeks today - scan date 19/6

With a case manager - no idea on timing

Ivy09 · 30/10/2023 09:44

Just called for 30/06. All they would say is that it is still pending to be dealt with. They wouldn't clarify if that meant it had gone to a decision maker or not. Did say currently working at 17.5 - 18 weeks and not all decision makers work overtime on weekends. So none the wiser really.

mumof3bs1more · 30/10/2023 09:45

Same as me! Good luck

Rebeccanew · 30/10/2023 09:48

Just came off the phone lovely man! Said decisions are now taking 18weeks new time scale….but also said they can’t telll what dates they are up to now they are advised to say new timescale..good luck everyone this week

Vikz37 · 30/10/2023 09:49

In the queue for 20 mins then cut off back to listening to the silly automated lady over and over again only want to make sure they recieved our extra evidence so frustrating

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 09:49

went to a DM this morning the gentleman said to give a call back Thursday or Friday. DMs can take up to 7-10 days to give an answer but it can be longer if they request additional information from any of the teams the child is working with! Atleast I’m with a DM now the real fear sets in 😂😂scan date 29/06! X

Mummyrach13 · 30/10/2023 09:50

This is why I’m put off calling @Ivy09 as some won’t tell you anything when I phoned last week she said by 19 weeks to me and would be soon but wouldn’t tell me anything else either x

Still on hold - 35 minutes and counting…

Mdavies2023 · 30/10/2023 09:52

Currently on hold to update that my daughter was diagnosed with Autism on Friday as not sure when the evidence will arrive from the paediatrician.

Scan date 20/07

Loopy2406 · 30/10/2023 09:53

Scan date 30th June , just phoned and got through after 34 minutes....the lady was really nice and said will go to decision make any time now and to keep eye out for backpayment or letter. She put a note on my file to say I'd like to receive a text when decision has been made , but apparently it won't tell me if awarded or not, just that decision has been made....hope everyone had good news this week 🤞 xxx

Hannahlou94xx · 30/10/2023 09:54

Still no decision 😭😭

Harrydog111 · 30/10/2023 09:55

@CGW1209 sending much love to you. When my son died, the first 15 months my functionality was basically zero although at the time I thought I was doing ok. 2 years later I realised grief and finances aren't the best companions. I had a 1000 overpayment on my council tax, in 2019. And only managed to have that refunded to me this year.

In rational terms, you are entitled. Personally I take comfort in doing things that are related to or for him. Silly things, like choosing flowers, but its the only way I get to mother him I guess. Yes, it's only money and if its draining you that's fine as well. There's no right or wrong. As another said, your husband may be able to follow this up. I hope you are able to be gentle with yourself and each other, and let the love for your son guide you during the rawness of your journey. I'm sorry that this is another thing on your plate

RMNofTikTok · 30/10/2023 09:57

Still on hold after 39 minutes....

Sskanf · 30/10/2023 09:59

I dont get how not many are with a DM despite them apparently working overtime on weekends

Mummyrach13 · 30/10/2023 10:00

Aww it’s such a long wait for you @Hannahlou94xx i wonder if your decision maker has had time off etc as once in that pile you will wait for the same person or that’s what I have seen from other people. Unless they are waiting for contact from any professionals you’ve listed. Either way I hope you hear real soon x

OP posts:
LGR004 · 30/10/2023 10:02

@Hannahlou94xx thats ridiculous! All I can think is they’ve requested information from a team or doctors or something and are waiting for some information back love! So sorry it’s taking so long, did you ask why a decision still hadn’t been made? Xx

Rebeccanew · 30/10/2023 10:06

Could yous help me here? When they say 18 weeks is that 18 weeks then it goes to decision maker or is it 18 weeks in total for decision?

PinkMoscatoLover · 30/10/2023 10:06

Sskanf · 30/10/2023 09:59

It really depends on where people are in the country, how many claims are in the DM’s pile and whether they decide to contact professionals included in the child’s care. Not all of the DM’s are working on the weekends, only some are.

If you get told your claim is with a DM on a Thursday or Friday, you most likely won’t have an answer by Monday

It should be 18 weeks in total for a decision. Saying that though, they often push the times back which is just ridiculous. Hopefully you have an answer by the 18 week mark!

Mummyrach13 · 30/10/2023 10:08

Does it really go by area? Weren’t sure about that if so where abouts are we all? 😂 I’m in Devon x

OP posts:
Hannahlou94xx · 30/10/2023 10:08

@LGR004 they said its with a case manager but the wait times are only a guideline so not to go by them. They didn't say anything about asking anyone else for any extra information. I'm going to call again tomorrow xx

MrsZzz · 30/10/2023 10:08

47 minutes in the end…
Nice lady said it’s not been looked at yet but won’t be long - she said about 10 days. Also said 18 and a half weeks is standard at the moment.

She also said I’d get a text saying that a decision has been made, then I’ll need to call to find out the decision ( which is interesting as I thought they called - maybe a simple way of them saving time?)

(scan date 6/7)
