@PinkMoscatoLover
I feel you may be the best to answer this question.
How do you know when to expect your first payment. I recieved BP and my letter for his award but no mention in the letter of first proper payment date. Could you help?

If I remember correctly, it should be 4 weeks from the date that you received the backpay. The date should fall on a Tuesday too. What date did you receive the backpay?

Hannahlou94xx · 30/10/2023 08:09

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 08:45

Think I’m gonna call at 9! If anything I’m going to ask for an update because I wanted to send some additional information but wanted to know if it’s too late 😂 they’ll probably tell me it’s still in a pile to go to DM 😩 I’ll let you know if I pluck the courage up to call at 9 and what update I get ! X

78% of appeals for disability benefits are successful at tribunal. I advise everyone to take it to tribunal if a decision not to award is made as the odds are very much in the claimants favour.

Successful DLA Tribunals are currently sitting at 61% (down 5% on last year) and overall, Disability claims at Tribunal are 62%.

I only mention this as I thought it was higher and went to my PIP Tribunal last year a little (on hindsight) blasé. I lost. I'm currently doing a change in needs for myself as well as waiting for DD's new DLA claim at the same time <bites nails>

I'm a way off yet DLA wise. Originally rang for forms in July, never came, cue long wait for 2nd set of forms. My GP put me forward to have a home visit and have it uploaded there and then by DWP Rep (Eventual Scan date 29/9) I've been advised that if DDs claim is successful it will be backdated to when I originally rang in July though.

Sending Most Positive Thoughts to all.

MumofLou · 30/10/2023 08:53

Good luck @LGR004 hopefully it has finally been passed over!! Let us know, ours was still in a holding pile on Friday, im so nervous today! Xx

Hannahlou94xx · 30/10/2023 08:54

I'm so nervous to ring , iv convinced myself that it's taking so long because they are going to decline my sons claim

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 08:56

@MumofLou will do sweet , what’s the worst that can happen, I’m prepared for any answer from them to be completely honest, I believe I’ve sent enough evidence but if I need to go for a MR I’m so ready for it ! I can just here her now saying “it’s gone to a DM and a decision hasn’t been made yet” 😂 so I’m ready for it all this morning now! Fingers crossed for use !! Xx

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 08:57

@Hannahlou94xx call sweet! Don’t let this longed process dishearten you! I have faith you and your son will get what use deserve ! Sending so many hugs and support your way!! X

Tmxx · 30/10/2023 08:58

PinkMoscatoLover · 30/10/2023 09:04

The phone lines are currently down. I just tried to call to see if they’ve received the additional evidence that I sent some weeks ago

Raych1989 · 30/10/2023 09:04

Just got through at 9.02am and it cut off saying phonelines are down 🙈🙈🙈

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 09:04

Cut off already called at 9am 😡

Loopy2406 · 30/10/2023 09:07

Same, says temporarily unavailable 😕

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 09:08

No not having that ! It started ringing and they put it through to the ‘automated lady’ saying our phone lines are currently down! If that’s the case why was it ringing … not happy ..

Tmxx · 30/10/2023 09:10

Guys I'm on hold ring now xx

Raych1989 · 30/10/2023 09:10

I'm on hold now too. Must be working now x

Cheesywiggles · 30/10/2023 09:11
