Hi just to update yous, I’ve just had a call off the DM she’s making a decision today on my sons DLA claim. Not too sure as to what to make of the call, whether I will be awarded or I won’t. However my scan date is the 16/6 for those with the same date still waiting

What did she ask? Do you know how long your claim has been with DM? Hopefully you will hear shortly, fingers crossed x

I rang yesterday to say I have another report regarding his autism, which says he’s highly suspected to have it. So I said to the man on the phone I’ll send it in first class and hopefully receive tomorrow (on about today) so he put a note on the computer but said I’m sending in the official diagnosis which is not the case. So she rang me and said I’m currently making a decision today on your claim however waiting for this letter. So I said it’s not his official diagnosis, I said it’s a huge suspicion that he has it. So she said right okay that’s fine, I’ll make a decision today on your claim and when we receive the letter, we’ll have another look. So whether that’s means I’ve been awarded or not I don’t know and I rang yesterday and he said it wasn’t with the DM yet x

Do you mean If you applied on a Thursday they pay on a Thursday? Thought it was just whenever it’s done it’s 3-5 days after.
I phoned for forms on 5/6 but on my forms it states that I would be backdated to the 10/6 which is a Saturday so that must be when they printed them as we can’t call on a Saturday.
So happy to see people getting there awards today! Glad you have been listened to for your children x

Oh hopefully sounds positive. I think you will hear some new shortly. These call handlers are not very great at taking notes. Hopefully this shouldn’t delay your award. Keep us updated x

@Tiredmamma74 its for a coc I knew they were taking longer than new claims I just thought maybe it might be sooner, guess not it’s even longer now !!!! He said ooooooohhh that’ll be January now 😵‍💫

Hello! I'm so sorry, I'm very new to all this. What are scan dates? I keep reading but don't understand it. My boy is partially deaf and I sent an application in July. I had a letter back asking about our immigration status and then a text message saying they are still looking in to it. I'm completely lost on all this.

I'm the 6th july, 15 weeks on Thursday. Hoping only a few more weeks to go

Hi been following here for a while. Gave in and rang this morning, scan date 16/6, apparently I've been rejected but the lady said the letter the DM is sending runs to two pages long. She also said the next step is MR. Does this seem weird to you? Perhaps I didn't give enough info but then why didn't they just ask? Can't believe how rubbish it is after such a wait!

letter was 2 pages, double sided but it didn’t contain any reasoning just basically said no and then all the additional stuff they put on all letters like what to do next blaaa blaaa blaaa
