I’m just replying to anyone instead of writing a post and it getting lost…..I’m not so great at these!!
Phoned today, was turned down but will do MR, so any help appreciated 😊😩
but perspective on dates for you all, scan date 07/06 had 2 texts and 2 letters.
they made the decision on the few days ago.

Does anyone know how long it is usually with a DM for as mine went to a DM on Wednesday last week so hoping I hear something this week, my scan date was the 14/6

@Watso2408 my scan date is 25/7 and I also had my first txt 2/10. If it's right we should receive the second txt 23/10. Fingers crossed it goes quick for us.

oh no that is awful news @Mum0f4delights did they give you reasons to why you had been declined? I was declined at the end of August, submitted a MR on 22nd September which was accepted last Wednesday. Make sure you ask
for a detailed breakdown of why you were declined and then quote each point and then give the reason/provide the evidence to why yoh disagree

Hey, me too. Application received 21st June. I'm praying for a positive decision in the next week or so.
My lad is 15, has had problems since about 2, but not enough to warrant help of any variety. Things have got progressively worse, and my whole life is on hold while I try to sort out the lad.
I need to be around to do this, not busy working or jobseeking. I know some people can, and do, and I have total admiration and respect for them, but my health has taking a turn for the worse from just worrying about "the kid".
He has no one else to advocate for him, or be there, no friends, no helpers.
I hope that of he is rewarded this will give me a chance to try hard to get him help, and afford a little more than freebies.

Fingers crossed.. it feels like eternity at the moment 🤞

17 weeks today, not that I’ll hear anything 🤣 and to whoever mentioned that dla page on fb they wouldn’t even let me join, they just declined me every time so I messaged & said they were wrong & they said my child doesn’t fit the criteria, yet they’ve got no idea what’s wrong with her. Makes me so mad x

I know it’s frustrating, it was not enough information to suggest extra care needs of a child of same age and I think diagnosis. However he is waiting for the assessment. Rock and hard place……the school were on my side hence the referral. Good luck with your MR I’ve honestly not got a clue.

Thankyou for the info, do they give you a breakdown? Or do you have to specify that? I think they have a hard job and if they get some wrong then I guess that’s what the MR is for 🤷‍♀️

Just had a text this morning to say my son has qualified for Dla. Not sure what rate.
Scan date 15/06
First text 21/08
Second text 12/09
Ive never phoned as preferred to forget about it

@Mum0f4delights I was told I was declined 1 day, really late in the afternoon, that a letter was on the way and then the phone went dead (it was a really bad line) so I called the next day and spoke to a lovely lady who gave a brief outline of the reasons over the phone and said she would register that I was seeking a MR and would send a detailed breakdown. Both letter arrived at the same time about 10 days later. The original letter was basically saying no, so would have been absolutely useless when attempting to complete the MR form. The detailed breakdown listed all the reasons why he had been declined which made it really easy just to quote their points and give my explanation of why I disagreed. The MR form is really short and straight forward

Not sure of my scan date as didn’t get a letter to say but my forms were received on 25/7 as sent them signed for. I also had my 1st text 2/10. We still have such a long wait! Can’t believe how this is taking over my life 🤦‍♀️😂 These post’s definitely help though so thank you everyone ❤️

I have just rang and the lady told me it’s with a DM and I should hear within a week, my scan date is 13/06, I will update when I hear 🤞

My son was awarded yesterday, no text phoned this morning. Scan date 09.06. Not diagnosed but suspected ADHD, PDA and SPD. He’s 6. I only had snap assessment from school, supporting statement from my step mum and health visitor.

i wasn’t going to phone today, but I’m now relieved that I did. It’s nice to know that someone has recognised his needs. Now can get him the bits that he needs to make life easier 😅
