Does anyone know if this is worth sending as extra evidence? 14 weeks exactly today. It's his review for his ehcp from salt. I've read it a few times and can't quite decide if it's worth it or not

I think this would be very helpful additional evidence x

Mummyrach13 · 12/10/2023 14:18

It’s hard to know what to do and what’s not to do. I was under the impression that anything sent before it goes to a DM would be looked at to make the decision. When we applied in June I was awaiting referrals for camhs etc so a lot of my further evidence is recent due to understanding my child more if that makes sense.

Ngreen84 · 12/10/2023 14:37

Hope u hear soon. I called Monday wasn’t with dm, called today and was done tues

Lozzy2000 · 12/10/2023 14:38

Same scan date but told end of October but I think what you have been told is more believable, fingers crossed for us both xx

Thank you for the responses. Just to add. It does say when you fill the form out not to include appointment letters so I have not done that. We had our first full assessment with CAMHss two weeks ago and the report should be through soon. I almost wonder if I will just wait for a decision and if we get turned down we should have the CAMHs report and then I can just submit it. I have a feeling hearing from DLA and hearing from CAMHs will happen around the same time as we are at week 17 from scan date now. I think the CAMHs report will include everything to do with her anxiety, OCD behaviour, rituals, tics, violence and swearing as we did not hold back so I think it will really help. I am hoping for middle rate due to the fact that I have not slept through the night for 10 years due to the night time wakings and extended bedtime due to rituals, anxiety etc.

Like PP said, its not even so much about the money although that can help with private therapy and sensory items for her room, its recognising the extra work that goes in to meeting your childs needs.

Hmm what to do....might just get a copy of her prescription from the Dr and wait for the CAMHs report and if no decision send it in, if declines use it for an MR.

This sounds so much like my boy! I feel ya on the sleep front. We seen cahms in July so sent off the report and 2 further reports from the camhs psychiatrist.

Boymummyof2 · 12/10/2023 15:37

Scan date 29/06, Just got off the the phone to them to be told 19 week wait till with a DM then allow up to 4 weeks for a decision. The wait is impossible xx

Clazamumof2girls · 12/10/2023 15:57

@Mummyrach13 I have just got off the phone to them as saw that same post and was worried as I sent updated evidence last week. I am 15 weeks today and we actually have a specialist appointment tomorrow also to assess her for visual and auditory stress disorder which maybe impacting her processing and receiving info. This wasn’t stated on my claim as school had only just picked it up after I’d sent the claim. The woman on the phone said after my appointment tomorrow if anything new gets picked up to try and get the evidence sent over asap as it would be considered. She did say too there’s still time as currently it’s around 18.5 wks before DM xx

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 12/10/2023 16:08

Scan date 26/6 got off the phone I questioned why the letter still state 15 weeks he said its out dated and government have changed time scale guidelines. He said im only 14 weeks but ive counted the calender I swear I'm just past 15 🤣 he said not to expect a decision maker until November 🙄 bloody ridiculous!!!!

@Clazamumof2girls Brilliant that’s great. I did think it was strange as they say send anything else in with the child’s details added to the top. And often there’s a wait on professional reports etc. x

Mummyrach13 · 12/10/2023 16:15

@Mumto2sengirlsxx were 26/6 too and it was 15 weeks Monday just gone, your right be 16 weeks this coming Monday. Sure there just adding the weeks on to a DM by the day 😂 x

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 12/10/2023 16:27

@Mummyrach13 I knew it was 16 weeks next Monday! He argued with me about it, I could hear him chewing on his chewing gum and he even tried telling me I wasn't the authorised person on the account!! I filled the form out so who else would it be... I told him they need to change the letters to state the actual waiting time because ita deflating thinking its your time to find out you've got another 4 weeks to go essentially hopefully time will fly by and we'll both have our answers, I'll keep you updated on mine hun xxx

ohhollyfred · 12/10/2023 16:34

Anyone recently had change of circumstances awarded?? My scan date is 8/06 so I called today to be told it's now 27 weeks for coc and as that falls Xmas week it will likely be early Jan. I just don't think 27 weeks is acceptable!! I hate to moan and I'm sure they are completely overwhelmed with claims but half a year is terrible!!

LizBennet · 12/10/2023 16:43

Yeah @ohhollyfred, I put one in in March, heard back Monday last week.
It took exactly 27 weeks and 1 day x

Mummyrach13 · 12/10/2023 16:43

@Mumto2sengirlsxx how very rude of him! Some of them are so abrupt! I’m sure they wouldn’t like it if we’re getting Told 15 weeks then it keeps going up. Fully understand they have a huge amount of claims and backlog but the wait is antagonising. I weren’t to bad up until this week and now it’s all I think about. I phoned Monday as had sent some evidence last week that I wanted to check they had got and was told it was 18.5 weeks now. But I have seen a couple dates awarded around 21-23/6 so who knows. Will keep you updated, x

StephanieCee · 12/10/2023 16:44

I’ve just getting another report sent from the hospital for my son. My scan date is 16/6 would I have time to send in this last report for evidence?

Mummyrach13 · 12/10/2023 16:50

I would send it special next day delivery, when I did that last week it was scanned on the day it arrived. As your date will prob be soon lovely x

StephanieCee · 12/10/2023 17:02

Perfect. I’ll send it first thing in the morning. Is it just the same address what’s on the letters?x

Mummyrach13 · 12/10/2023 17:12

It’s this one here.
add Childs name, DOB and national insurance number if you have it to the top of each piece of paper x

Dla wait times part 15
Mumto2sengirlsxx · 12/10/2023 17:35

@Mummyrach13 I am the same, I haven't thought about it at all until this week... I got my eldest daughters approved the start of this year like April time I believe and it only took 13 weeks and 3 days so being told I'll have to wait until 18-19 weeks is ridiculous he said there is no chance my form will go to a DM until I'm past 17 weeks hopefully will hear something by the end of October. I'm not too hopeful about her application but it will be so disheartening to wait that long and still have to wait for a MR etc xx

Mummyrach13 · 12/10/2023 17:39

@Mumto2sengirlsxx its a long time isn’t it. I’m really not hopeful as I didn’t know much about DLA or the forms so I just filled it out and sent it and then seen that most have help with writing them etc. what will be will be, but I will be devastated if I have to do a MR. Will keep my fingers crossed for you xx

Jneill2021 · 12/10/2023 17:59

Tbh there taking all different time scales someone on another chat sent hers in June and its already with decision maker xx I'm may rang last week and was still waiting to go to someone and was told around 27 weeks xx

PinkMoscatoLover · 12/10/2023 18:25

Any additional information you’ve received for your child, pls do send it in as additional evidence! It certainly will be looked at in addition with your claim and any other evidence sent in

Muva25 · 12/10/2023 19:46

Congrats on your award for your daughter hope it helps! Do you mean a scan date of 7th or 8th or 7th of august?
