Congratulations to all those who have had the good news we are still waiting..

Scan date 16/06 had 2 letters and 3 texts saying will contact me when a decision has been made. Not going to bother ringing as sounds quite stressful and doesn't seem to get us anywhere.

What's the name of the facebook group. Going to have a little look on there if I can find it 🙂

june have a bit of wait still approx 2 weeks. It looks like next week we are on track for 25-30 May. The wait is hard but hopefully seeing progress on this thread is making it bearable. It’s seems as though they covering 5 dates in a span of a week and a half. So following this thread is the most accurate date coverage. Please don’t be disheartened if your date has passed sightly as some DM work faster than others and this does not mean bad news.

Do they scan in on bank holidays? As we had a bank hol at the end of May so hopefully can get to start of June by end of next week

Last month I don't think anyone had dates between about the 28th Apr and 2nd May so we were theorising that they don't scan on weekends or bank hols.

They don’t work bank holiday. So that probably means next week will be 25-31st May give or take.

my scan date is 13/06 so I would expect to hear 9th October week which the 17th week mark or the following week which is 16/10 . By these dates it seems we are on track for that if not faster. So fingers crossed x

I’ve just had a text saying that my child qualifies. I’m so relieved, I had convinced myself I’d have to go through MR.

Currently on 1hr 2 hold to DLA line as I type - first call for an update with a scan date of 30/05 🤞🏼

The call was cut at 16:51 .. some eye twitching and deep breathing followed 😂
the closer it gets , the more worrying it is and the more I seem to be questioning myself .. nightmare! They really would be doing themselves a favour if they sent a text when your claim was with a DM ! Surely there could be some sort of automated set up for that ! If I don’t hear by next Tuesday (17 week mark) I’ll give them another call ..

It’s horrendous ain’t it I feel like I’m going slightly crazy with it now I never check my bank daily and find I am it’s horrific and definitely agree it really can’t be that difficult to create some sort of system for updates definitely would save stress and wait times on phones! Fingers crossed we hear soon x

How long after the second text are people being awarded. My 2nd text was the 21st august. Still waiting, called up today and still in holding queue! 😭 the wait is agonising. Scan date 25th may

I'm same scan date as you and also got 2nd text on 21/8. I rang this morning and was told it wasn't with a decision maker yet but should only be another week.

We have the same scan date. I also received my second text on the 21st August. What does it mean if you’re still in the holding queue? We’ll be 17 weeks tomorrow- I’m going to call them at 18 weeks if I’ve not heard anything! The wait is driving me insane

You can only request an extra bedroom allowance if you private rent and have a shortfall in the housing amount that you receive. For example, I had a LHA of a two bed and my rent was 1450. I would have only received 1360 due to the LHA. As soon as I requested an extra bedroom allowance for my son, my full rent was covered. The whole process took less than a month to be approved by DM.

If you’re in a council priority, you can only receive an extra bedroom allowance if you pay bedroom tax. The extra bedroom allowance will then cover it. It also depends if you receive housing benefit as they only pay towards the rooms that you physically have.

I’ve been receiving DLA, for my 13 year old, for the last 8 years and I’ve always received it on a Tuesday.
