Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 09:45

@Mumto2sengirlsxx I'm still waiting too, scan date 10/2, fingers crossed we get an answer soon 🤞 xx

Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 10:39

I phoned again this morning couldn't help myself 🙈 we are finally with a decision maker the bloke was lovely I spoken to he said he going to chase him up and ask him to send me a text as soon as a decision is made 🤞 xx

Nicole12345 · 12/05/2023 11:11

@Mummytofivegirls that’s great news! Hopefully us 16/02 scan dates are not to far behind you now then 🤞

Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 11:15

@Nicole12345 mine has been dead on 13 weeks I got told yesterday afternoon it wasn't with a decision maker but this morning it is so i would definitely say ring bang on 13 weeks x

Nicole12345 · 12/05/2023 11:17

@Mummytofivegirls Yeah that’s when I was thinking to call next… thank you. Let us know how you get on 🤞

Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 11:26

@Nicole12345 will do ❤️

TiredOfCleaning · 12/05/2023 12:43

Hi all- congrats to everyone who have had successful outcomes. Thanks

I sent my application in exactly one month ago and still have not received an acknowledgement of receipt. I tried to ring but after goiung through all the options was simply disconnected.

Just venting as slightly frustrated!

We are at renewal stage. Does anyone know if the award increases, if the difference is backdated to the date they received the forms as it is when you first apply, or does the new amount just apply from the next payment after renewal date?

Hi there, My DD award increased & they backdated it to her 5th Birthday which was 6 weeks before the end of her current claim, The scan date on the renewal was later than her 5th Birthday so it our case they backdated beyond scan date, Good luck I hope that you hear soon xXx

Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 13:25

@Nicole12345 my daughter has been awarded HRC 🥰

Ll333 · 12/05/2023 13:49

So happy for you so yours was 13 weeks

Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 13:50

Yeah scan date 10/2 exactly 13 weeks today

Nicole12345 · 12/05/2023 14:07

@Mummytofivegirls Awww brilliant news! So happy she has been awarded and your wait is finally over 😊

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 12/05/2023 15:27

Just got off the phone to them, they said i should recieve a decision in the next 7-10 days max so nervous the way he said it tbh! I have the sinking feeling that my daughter will be declined xx

Nicole12345 · 12/05/2023 15:45

@Mumto2sengirlsxx try not to worry I’m sure it will be fine but I know it’s easier said than done though. I think we should hear by this time next week 🤞

J8231 · 12/05/2023 15:56

I thought my anxiety would ease having 1 down and 1 to go but I seem to be worse with the second, 13 weeks today so I'm hoping I get told soon but there's still time today I got my sons text message at 5pm

Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 16:19

@J8231 it shouldn't be much longer as I was 13 weeks today and got a decision 🤞

J8231 · 12/05/2023 16:26

Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 16:19

@J8231 it shouldn't be much longer as I was 13 weeks today and got a decision 🤞

Congratulations on your award, its such a relief isn't it when you know, you can breath a little easier, just need this one to hurry up but I don't think it will because its a rare condition with many people involved.

Mummytofivegirls · 12/05/2023 16:26

@J8231 yes definitely feeling like a massive weight has been lifted.

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 12/05/2023 16:35

@J8231 you got a text at 5pm? Thats reassuring i kept reading on other forums youll only get a text at 8am and if you didnt get one you wouldnt get one that day... @Nicole12345 i know i cant help but stress its a long wait as it is let alone if she gets declined and i have to argue it i sent her EHCP application proof in and the school filled my form in so i have them on side they were the ones who told me to apply for it but my daughters EHCP got approved last week and ive been waiting for them to write the draft so i could send that evidence but it probably wouldnt reach them on time so if she gets declined ill use it for my MR xx

Nicole12345 · 12/05/2023 16:55

@Mumto2sengirlsxx i totally get it I’m on edge the longer it goes on the more I seem to worry 🤦🏼‍♀️ just keep telling myself I’ll know In a week or so. Yeah I dread the thought of him being declined and having to fight it. Because I feel that’s all I seem to do is argue for help for him and fill out forms. We’re only at the start of doing a EHCP. You seem to have covered a lot of things I think you’ll be absolutely fine with being awarded

Nicole12345 · 12/05/2023 17:02

@TiredOfCleaning mine took around a month to come so I wouldn’t worry to much. You can always give them a call just to confirm and get a scan date so you can keep track of the timeframe

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 12/05/2023 17:21

@Nicole12345 tbh i got really lucky the school are amazing they pushed for diagnosis, testing, and the EHCP and i havent had to argue for anything... think ill have more of a fight for my youngest who the school think has adhd but shes also just been diagnosed with hypermobility so im presuming hers will be more of a fight whereas its been so easy for my eldest considering all the horror stories ive heard and seen other parents have to go through its terrible!! I hope your childs EHCP goes through nicely i hated the wait of it but its worth it for the support they get with it... i hope your dla form goes great too xxx

Nicole12345 · 12/05/2023 17:46

@Mumto2sengirlsxx yeah his nursery is really good I can’t complain about them, they are pushing too. I’m lucky he will have his assessment in the next few month and his consultant has already basically said she believes he is autistic so it’s good to have the support from her and she’s offered lots of different tests too. It’s all the other sides that come with it like speech and language 🤦🏼‍♀️ it’s almost like nobody actually wants to help and just wants you to watch videos or join an online course. I’ll fight every step of the way to ensure he has what he needs but it would be nice to not have to.
yeah I’m lucky we are doing his EHCP so early as he’s only 2.5 years old. I think being on the ball so much has helped as I’m constantly calling and checking on all his appointments to ensure he’s not missed or delayed longer than necessary.
aww I totally get that worrying feeling you’re having the bonus is you know what you are doing the second time around and you won’t let them fob you off. You know your child better than anyone else and you will always fight for them even when we don’t have the strength to! I wish you and your girls the best of luck with everything.
if I hear anything about his claim I’ll let you know 😊🤞xx
