Orangemop · 30/05/2023 13:01

@ClareN82 my renewal ended Wednesday 31st may I got a decision on Friday

ClareN82 · 30/05/2023 13:25

@Orangemop, i got through and its not even with a decison maker yet 😩

Peachlollipop · 30/05/2023 15:45

I had another of those texts today saying that a decision hasn’t been made yet.

Peachlollipop · 30/05/2023 15:45

Tomorrow it’ll be 13 weeks. They must be due to look at it soon.

Orangemop · 30/05/2023 16:29

@ClareN82 that can change very quickly, further back on this thread some people had called and they said it wasn’t with decision maker then the next day a decision has been made. Fingers crossed it’s tomorrow for you.

Mum331 · 30/05/2023 16:35

Hi I'm at 13 weeks
I also received the same message, I've called today And was told its still in the pile to be looked at and its taking 14 & half weeks it hasn't been passed to a case manager and that it will most likely be picked up at 14 & half wks... 🤷‍♀️

Peachlollipop · 30/05/2023 16:42

Thanks for the update, Mum331. I think it’s fair to say that my claim will be at a similar stage to yours. Hopefully itll be a little sooner than anticipated.

ClareN82 · 30/05/2023 16:45

@Orangemop that gives me some hope, hopefully i hear something tomorrow. X

Bellesmummy12 · 30/05/2023 17:20

Hi my scan date is 1st March new claim so 13 weeks today. Had the text yesterday to say they are still looking at it. I rang a week ago and was told that it’s taking around 15 weeks for new claims. Hopefully not much longer now but convinced it will be a decline so already preparing for my MR lol. Good luck all x

Bellesmummy12 · 30/05/2023 17:21

13 weeks tomorrow*

Mum331 · 30/05/2023 17:57

@Peachlollipop its okay I think we have the same scan date. I'm just going to wait now. Hoping it will get looked at sooner and for all of those waiting we get the results our children deserve xx

Nicole313 · 30/05/2023 18:21

I called this morning and was told 14.5weeks to get looked at I’m at 13 weeks my scan date is 28th feb hopefully will get decision soon good luck everyone x

baublewobble · 30/05/2023 19:20

My scan date was 22nd so 14 weeks tomorrow and I still have not heard anything. I know our OT who did us a letter has not been contacted because she asked today if we have sent off for our claim yet. The longer the time goes on the worse I am feeling about this when I thought I would be ok! Knowing they don't even tell you straight away you have been declined is making it worse. I can't bring myself to call them either. The thought of calling makes me feel sick!

Ll333 · 30/05/2023 21:21

I received a letter on 8th of may and text today to say we are still looking at your claim. 10 weeks today and my first letter said up to 15 weeks so another 5 to go.

Hei1234 · 31/05/2023 10:54

I know they are busy but the wait is crazy, I’m on 11 weeks so still have a way to go yet

NDandMe · 31/05/2023 11:42

I've just looked at my original letter again. Dated 22 March, but they received it on 8 March. It said they would take up to 12 weeks, which is today! Looks like another 3.5 weeks to go yet.

Hei1234 · 31/05/2023 12:33

@NDandMe they received mine the 14th March I got my letter beginning of April, so I’m about a week behind you!

BrokenRainbow · 31/05/2023 14:25

Hi all, I cannot find my child benefit number anywhere. Can I write my NI number instead?

J8231 · 01/06/2023 13:19

Came here for a rant. Rang up before scan date 10th Feb, anyway I had been waiting for a letter because I forgot something on the form. Sent that all back to be told claim had been refused the reasons why are shocking really, they could of just said it was refused instead if adding another 2 weeks to be told no anyway.
does anyone know how long you have to do an MR as I'm waiting on letters so I can send them off and a few tests aswell!

Shan001 · 01/06/2023 17:31

@Kenny312 I'm sorry to hear your application was declined. The news after such a wait is deflating but I hope after a little woosah you decide to do a MR like a few other mummas have said.

Shan001 · 01/06/2023 17:36

@NDandMe you said your initial letter stated 12weeks, mine did also. It seems most mummas letters state 15weeks which has made me wonder if it's due to the differing areas we live in.. I'm in North London, how about you?

NDandMe · 01/06/2023 18:32

I'm in Liverpool. They really do seem to have a chaotic approach to their workloads!

Shan001 · 01/06/2023 19:08

@NDandMe hmm🤔 Nope that's thrown me.. there seems to be no order to this chaos! Even if some DMs work faster than others, it seems very erratic. Maybe it's a combination of how fast the DMs work at different locations!? Next week will be the twelfth week.. Hoping and praying for a positive decision to be made around the time they stated of 12weeks or at the 13week mark like a few mummas have had. The closer we get to the point of expecting a decision, the more anxiety ensues!

baublewobble · 01/06/2023 20:29

I had back pay go in today with no notification. My letter scan date was the 22nd February and stated 12 weeks. I rang and decision was made on the 26th May and the back pay was up to the 30th of May. They said I should get a letter in 7 to 10 days!
