That’s good news! Did they say how long it’s been with them for?
nervous wait over the weekend lol I was hoping I would know the decision before

Nope he just said you will find out very soon 🤔 but if I haven't heard by Wednesday/Thursday call back x

Daisymum18 · 14/04/2023 15:38

I have two claims in my daughters has been in longer though my son's only been with them since the 29th wonder if it would be worth me calling and mentioning this to them

Lodol · 14/04/2023 15:52

When was your first application? Hopefully they join them to the date of the first one!

mr5t · 14/04/2023 16:14

I called at 9am on the dot this morning, call was answered straight away, and was awarded on 12th - scan date of 17th so 12 weeks and 1 day for me, good luck everyone claiming xx

Daisymum18 · 14/04/2023 16:17

My daughters SD is 6/2 my son's is 29/3 I'm currently waiting for the phone to be answered

Mummyof1sonxx · 14/04/2023 16:28

Tried to call earlier didn't get through and was cut off. Currently on the phone now been wait 49 minutes! I was told 25 weeks yesterday!!!! that has to be a huge mistake as I'm seeing people receive decision in 13-15 weeks. So I'm hoping I have a better outcome speaking to someone else

Daisymum18 · 14/04/2023 16:31

I'm at 39 mins tried to call 9mins prior but got busy tone

Mummyof1sonxx · 14/04/2023 16:46

@Daisymum18 They close at 5pm is that right do you know? (phoneline)

BlackBarbies · 14/04/2023 16:47

Hey, really hoping someone can answer this😅

Sent my form off a few weeks ago with pages and pages of evidence. My 11 month old has just finished an intensive weekly block of OT and I’ve just been sent a detailed 5 page overview.

Should I also send this to DWP too? If so, how do I go about sending more evidence does anyone know? Thank you!

Daisymum18 · 14/04/2023 16:51

They do but I rang the other day and remained on hold until 5.20 then got a message saying service temporarily unavailable and the call ended @blackbarbies I think you send it to the same place the forms went to with your child's name on national insurance number or the ref number of your claim and they join the additional with what they have already

That’s great thanks so much!

He has no national insurance number but I finally received the letter that has his reference number on it so I’ll use that:)

Maybe is not a mistake , some people are just lucky to have a decision in 13-15 weeks. My scan date is 19/12 thats 17 weeks now , was told is with DM last week and same answer this week .

Mummyof1sonxx · 14/04/2023 17:30

@Dana81 wow 17 weeks bless you! I tried again today but got cut off just after 5pm. Was hoping to speak to someone and get a different answer. I really hope we all get answers soon x

Mummyof1sonxx · 14/04/2023 17:31

@Dana81 what part of the country to do you live?x

Im in Kent . When I called a few days ago the man told me its with DM and I will have the decision in a week or two . Im so worried that the long wait could be bad news :(
I hope you dont have to wait that long

Mummyof1sonxx · 14/04/2023 18:00

@Dana81 Bless you 😔 it's such an exhausting and stressful time. Going through this,my anxiety is off the chart. If it's with dm at least you will have a decision very soon after this awful wait you have had. I really hope everything works out for you x

MumtotypeoneD1abetic · 14/04/2023 18:06

Scan day 12/01. Called on Tuesday and was advised DM has requested evidence of diagnoses and this was looked at on Friday (12 weeks + 1 day) Still waiting to receive the letter from them for me to respond too. Gutted as I thought they would just contact her consultant but I was wrong. I’ve gathered together more that enough evidence and am looking at it as a blessing in disguise as I can show them everything now not just words on paper. Thinking due to this I’m looking at at least another 4-5 weeks.

ERG123 · 14/04/2023 19:25

I don’t know what to think now…. My scan date is 19/1 some people being awarded some waiting 17 weeks, I don’t know what to do or think. Will have to wait until Monday and call I think

Lodol · 14/04/2023 20:15

where did they request proof of diagnosis from?
concerned as my daughter doesn’t have one yet she’s waiting an appointment or is it for diagnosis that are not adhd etc x

A diagnosis isnt necessary, i imagine theyll only request confirmation of a diagnosis if you have stated they have such and such condition but not included it in the evidence. My initial claim for my son who is autistic was before diagnosis, he was awarded middle rate care for somrthing like 2 years (cant remember exactly). We're just doing the first renewal since diagnosis now.

BlackBarbies · 14/04/2023 22:03

I have another question and wondered if someone can help. I’ve sent a form off for my son who has an intellectual disability and a rare genetic disorder. He has a diagnosis and LOADS of evidence.

I’m not necessarily rushing to send a form in for my daughter but I currently have another thread where a poster recommended it and now it’s got me thinking. My daughter will be two in a few weeks and has multiple Autistic traits. She has her first SALT appointment next month as she doesn’t speak at all.

In her case, she doesn’t have any medical forms/assessments confirming that she has Autism. I know DLA isn’t given based on a diagnosis but how it impacts the child day to day. But would she get an award with more or less no medical input to back up what I’m saying? She’ll start nursery next month so I guess they could offer information but that’s about it.

Sorry for the long post but it just made me think if they’d even consider her as having a disability. Would love to hear from anyone who has/had a child in a similar situation. Thank you!

MumtotypeoneD1abetic · 15/04/2023 00:03

No hers is for type one diabetes which is what they are requesting it for.

Autismum4 · 15/04/2023 12:33

@BlackBarbies if your daughter still has additional needs that is basically what that money is for - to cope with those additional needs. So even with salt that's a piece of evidence. Definitely apply because between you filling the forms and sending to actually receiving a decision is a whole 3 months away minimum. Loads can happen in that time whereby if you was refused - go to MR or appeal and you may have more evidence to present your case or if it turns out she is 'able' then the claim can be closed. But in the meantime if she's entitled then they will award x

Shanmolloy21 · 16/04/2023 22:26

Scan date was 30/01 text on the 03/04 saying still looking at your claim. Anyone had this and been awarded? I didn’t send any evidence in but lady on the phone said it’s fine. Should I call for an update?

I’m so sorry, I read this and completely forgot to respond😅 thank you so much for your help, that all makes so much sense!

As you said, it’s at least 3 months before a decision is made so I can always send any further evidence during that time. Appreciate your help:)
