Ive just called up again to ask the exact award dates so I can update Universal Credit (as royal mail are pants) and the lady I spoke to said dates from the 18th -26th November are being assigned this week. They received an email this morning from the board. She said cases will be assigned at whatever position they are in the system (so pot luck I guess), She said cases more likely get assigned at the weekend so fingers crossed for all of you around these dates. Hopefully you'll get a decision by this time next week xx

Aww thankyou so much for that information I seem to get the people with attitudes on the phone everytime lol you would think they were pulling it out of there own pockets wouldn’t you but then you can get the odd one who’s lovely but thankyou so much for sharing that information I have a little hope now 😂xxx

WreckTangled · 21/02/2023 13:44

Scan date 14/11 just phoned. Declined 18/2 🙄 apparently it’s normal for a child to spend three years at an extra curricular activity and still be completely unable to join in/speak to anyone there. It’s normal for a 10 year old do gag every time they go to the loo or go to the beach and he doesn’t have any learning disabilities (true) so he’s not eligible. I’m not too surprised tbh not sure if I’ll bother with MR.

Lostatsea10 · 21/02/2023 13:46

Oh @WreckTangled im so sorry. Have you asked for a statement of reasons? Perhaps get it and then make a decision about MR. It’s so disheartening and exhausting. I’m so sorry for you 💐

Aww im so sorry hun but please dont give up. I know you must feel deflated but nobody knows your child better than you do! Ask them to send you the report and inform them you are doing an MR. Take every point they have said and contradict them with stuff to back it up xx

Maybe they were more willing to give me the information because my claim has been awarded so fingers crossed for you all waiting xx

WreckTangled · 21/02/2023 13:53

She read out the statement it was quite comprehensive but I disagree that he needs the same care as other children his age. She’s going to send it in the post for me

Do an MR, then tribunal if needed, you wont be anymore worse off by doing it. Good Luck x

AdhdMumOf3 · 21/02/2023 14:09

@WreckTangled so sorry for you.. Take it to Mr and smash it xx

Mumof3boys28 · 21/02/2023 14:57

Been following this thread to keep up to date with current wait times. 19/12 scan date for 3yo diagnosed ASD, new claim. It's such a long wait. So far I've had one letter and one text saying "sorry we haven't made a decision yet". I reckon about another 4/5 week wait.

harjinder01 · 21/02/2023 14:59

Mumof3boys28 Am November 28 i got round 4 weeks u maybe got 7 weeks

Maz331 · 21/02/2023 14:59

Mummalouxx · 21/02/2023 15:01

I’ve just rang was on the phone over an hour on hold I’ve been awarded high rate care for my 3 year old! Scan date 15/11. So happy the wait is over! Got my fingers crossed for everyone else on here xx

Lostatsea10 · 21/02/2023 15:06

Hooray! I’m on hold now. I’d promised myself I wouldn’t ring until next week but seeing people on here get awarded for similar dates to me has hit me twitchy! Fully expecting to be told it will be another 6 weeks though just to get me off the phone

Scan date 22/11 (worcester) called today after seeing othe rpeople with the same scan date comment on here and they told me its a 15 week wait, im in week 13 currently, he was so nice he did say that some dm's work faster than others but if i dont hear back by week 16 call again

Leannepap · 21/02/2023 15:11

I’ve just called. Scan date 17/11 she said it’s the same as when you rang last week No decision ! So they definitely note every time you call. it’s gone to dm today though she said and it could be 1-10 days for decision. May get a text it depends on which dm has it and whether they have text facilities or not. The end is in sight!! Good luck all

Als2017 · 21/02/2023 15:14

I’m 18/11 no decision yet

Lostatsea10 · 21/02/2023 15:48

It’s not with a DM yet. I knew that would be the answer but got carried away

Maz have you called to see what the hold up is? They might have requested extra evidence from the school or GP. If thats the case you can chase them up so your claim doesnt drag on much longer xx
