Morning everyone ..my sons application has been with decision maker for 2 weeks plus .. I got through on the online chat this morning and was told it’s at its final steps of the process and has been passed on to a supervisor for decision to be approved .. was told a letter will be sent with outcome. I can’t help but worry. Is this usually what happens? Thank you x

harjinder01 · 03/03/2023 09:33

A child with high rate care would get the severely disabled child element (on UC) which is £414.88 a month.
And the carers element is the same standard amount for everyone that qualifies x

harjinder01 · 03/03/2023 09:58

Dani006 there only been giving me 132 pound one

Hayley1988 · 03/03/2023 10:16

I sent off my sons renewal beginning of January, they received it 05/01. Had a letter this morning saying they have received the application and they will write once a desicion is made. Any ideas how long after the aknowledement letter it takes for renewal decisions? His current claim doesn't end until 11th May.

Awarded today after 14 weeks. Just checked my bank and it’s been deposited. No text or call. All backdated to when the form was stamped.
Looks like MCR which is what I was expecting. LB 3.5yrs so will check for mobility when I receive the letter will have to reapply when he’s 5. Scan date 23/11. Best wishes to everyone who’s still waiting. 💪💪💪

Snickerdoodles19 · 03/03/2023 13:01

@Dawnie0709 my current award ends 14/3, I called yesterday and it wasn’t even with a dm yet the lady checked on their system and they aren’t even looking at renewals until it’s been with them until the 16th week.

Lodol · 03/03/2023 14:12

That’s quick! I’m also in Nottingham so hoping it’s as quick as you
hope you get the news you need

what information did you send/did you get text updates?

emma2442 · 03/03/2023 16:17

Hey everyone. I'm new here. I only sent our form off 2/3 weeks ago so know I have a long wait ahead. Annoyingly getting the form sorted was delayed a few months so wasted so much time.

How do you get your scan date? Or follow it up in any way? I didn't even do signed for, wish I did but been so overwhelmed and just wanted it sent off.

Thanks

Lisakel · 03/03/2023 16:30

Has anyone heard from first week in December yet? I'm ringing now for update

Toomanyplates23 · 03/03/2023 16:37

Hiya. Your scan date is when your claim is received, although they might not actually scan it onto the system for a couple of weeks. I sent my son's claim by freepost and they wrote to me about 3 weeks later, telling me the date it was received. If you don't get a letter, you can give them a ring to make sure they have it. If you phoned for the form, as long as they get it within 6 weeks, your claim will be backdated to the date you rang x

AnxietyMumma · 03/03/2023 16:45

@tbxx it's so hard isn't it!! I really feel for you. We do have a 2 bed but he's so disruptive in the night, my youngest is beginning to struggle with the behaviour of his older brother. Also my eldest isn't nice to him. Not just sibling rivalry, I mean it's physical and abusive. I'm really hoping this OT and DLA will be our life line

When is your scan date? I hope you get the same x

emma2442 · 03/03/2023 17:00

Thank you for explaining.

Unfortunately I didn't realise that and just printed it off myself. Then between separate issues at home and school cooperation, it took so long to complete. Done now though, will give it another couple if weeks then will call to see of they've received it.

It's amazing just how stressful completing a form is! x

Minnie83 · 03/03/2023 17:12

My scan date is 11th Feb, ii have a long wait yet it seems 😫

Minnie83 · 03/03/2023 17:15

Wow tamy463 how come yours is so quick? Is it new claim?
