I got a text saying I was awarded - called today and have MRC and LRM and she said money should be there tomorrow.

tourettesadhdmum · 27/02/2023 15:37

@MygirlGrace aww i saw that too! the school report does back up what i have said and highlight additional needs the school have noticed and provide help for so thankfully it doesn’t contradict what i’ve said. i just need to send it off asap x

Hi Everyone, Ive been following this thread for weeks silently just for updates. Ive just received a call from DLA, the DM asked me a couple of questions to clarify some things on the form and informed me that my daughter has been awarded HRC and LRM. I am in utter disbelief because I literally only sent her appointment letters that we are awaiting for her diagnosis. I had no other evidence. She's turned 3 in October. Im so happy its unreal! My scan date was 23rd November, I wasnt expecting to hear anything until mid march so it was a total surprise xx

Lostatsea10 · 27/02/2023 17:01

Ah congratulations everyone! Some lovely news to start the week

sorry to keep going on but when you’re awarded make sure you let tax credits know asap, i called this afternoon after being awarded DLA today and they have sorted my tax credits already and will have increased payments from this week x

CMVB · 27/02/2023 18:08

Our last claim was awarded until the day before my sons 5th birthday too. 17/01 ours was due to run out, they renewed his claim HRC on 05/01 and added LRM to start from his 5th birthday ☺️ his last award was only 2 years but this time it’s been renewed until 2031 x

Sheriexx · 27/02/2023 18:09

Sorry to hear that, fingers crossed you get a different outcome with an MR. From what I have read on the facebook group, MR's are around 6 weeks xx

Hi, hope you can help. Mine has gone to a DM today for renewal, scan date 31/1 renewal expires 11/3. Do you know the average time the DM takes?

Cody4 · 27/02/2023 21:49

@MygirlGrace me too, I’ve got my fingers crossed for you

Als2017 · 27/02/2023 22:08

When your awarded and they text you what does it say?

Reebee123 · 27/02/2023 22:32

Hi all. Started following this thread recently. My scan date is 9/01 so I have long wait yet. I have been reading some of the stuff on the DLA support group on Facebook and I’m panicking if I have sent in enough evidence. My daughter is 30 months but is on numerous waiting lists. I have sent in the access pathway referral. A report from portage. A letter from the NHS about being on a waiting list for speech and language therapy. Her tracking from nursery and her iep. I am waiting on a EHCP. Also been referred to occupational therapy for a helmet as she headbangs. I have seen people do sleep plans. Should I do one and submit one now as additional evidence? I also have an email stating she’s been accepted for her CDC assessment. Should I send it in or just wait? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Mommax3 · 28/02/2023 05:58

I am in the South East my scan date is down as the 24/11, confirmed by letter. The second time I rang I was told it was the 28/11. Yesterday I called for an update, got through to a right snooty lady who couldn’t wait to get off of the phone.
I pushed her anyway for an update, she eventually checked and confirmed my DD’s claim is not yet with a Decision Maker. Advised a 15 week wait, I asked her to add to my notes that I would like to be sent a text regarding an outcome. (Saves that dreaded hour on hold!) I should know in 2-3 weeks, but they feel completely clueless at DLA. It is such a horrible, torturous wait! It shouldn’t be this much of a battle to get the additional help our children need.

Lostatsea10 · 28/02/2023 08:29

I’ve had a text saying we qualify 🎉 I’m going to ring at 9 to find out the rates
