🤞🏽we all hear something good this week x

Snickerdoodles19 · 27/02/2023 08:42

Hoping to hear this week, current award end 2 weeks tomorrow I’m feeling very stressed out now waiting

Als2017 · 27/02/2023 08:52

I’m ringing first thing to see if any decisions been made. Apparently went to overtime this weekend we shall see they all say diff things

Lisakel · 27/02/2023 09:02

Good luck to everyone this week, my scan date is the 5th so 12 weeks today, it's so stressful

Als2017 · 27/02/2023 09:09

Got straight through still not with a dm! Grrr she said it’s taking 14 weeks and I’m over 14 weeks now

AnxietyMumma · 27/02/2023 09:56

Hi all,

I've followed this threat since part 6. My forms are dated 8th November but due to the strikes they were scanned on 20th December. Lost over 5 weeks thanks to Royal Mail

This wait is agonising. Even my anxiety meds aren't helping!! My 7 year old doesn't have a diagnosis but he is on the waiting list for ASD and ADHD. School have only just put forward for an EHCP. In there it states he presents as PDA. I'd never heard of it but after a quick Google he carries many of those traits

I've sent in both acceptance onto waiting list letters, EHCP draft, school care plan, school behavioural map, copy of an old EP report and my covering letter yet I still don't think it will be enough 😔

I hope you all get good news this week!!

harjinder01 · 27/02/2023 09:58

What date are there working on now cuz when i rang there said will take 16 weeks

Snickerdoodles19 · 27/02/2023 10:01

@AnxietyMumma i think it will be enough, have you given a detailed description of his care needs at home aswell?

AnxietyMumma · 27/02/2023 10:13

@Snickerdoodles19 yes I think so. I can't really remember what I put on his form but I did put in the covering letter about the help he needs with dressing and washing. I've put in there about other frequent things he needs help with and things he lacks like road sense etc. I also including things about his behaviour. Which I'm not even sure they needed

Sunligh98 · 27/02/2023 10:31

For anyone waiting, mine was scanned 21/11 and decision made on Saturday. MRC for my just turned 2 year old until his 5th birthday. So glad all the waiting is over

Cacb15 · 27/02/2023 11:16

Hi been following for a while now, scan date 21/12, had a letter a few week back and now a text today. Do texts get sent once someone is actually looking or is it just automated? Tia

ChazD27 · 27/02/2023 11:47

We have a claim awarded until the day before 5th birthday. I’m wondering how this might impact the renewal? Particularly mobility. If anyone could explain thank you 😊

Lostatsea10 · 27/02/2023 11:54

For those who’ve been awarded have you all got texts? Or just rung them/had mkney in the bank?

Justyouwaitandseeagain · 27/02/2023 12:59

Morning everyone. I've been really patient so far (scan date 28/11) but feeling we desperately need some good news at the moment. Can I ask what info you need when you call to check your claim status?

We are the same date as you! I called and they asked for reference number (you can find this on the letter they sent saying they received the claim) she also asked my DD DOB and the name of the bank we wrote on the form.

If you don’t mind updating us all once you have spoken to them? I am trying to wait until Friday to call and so will do an update then too 😊

Best of luck to you x

Millipeed · 27/02/2023 13:24

Scan date 18/11. Decision was made on 24/2. Called this morning to for an update and was told been awarded.

AdhdMumOf3 · 27/02/2023 14:00

I rang again for an update, the senco still has never been in touch didn't think she would tbh, they're gonna ask the dm to either call me or the lady I spoke to said she would call me back with some kind of update which I'm not holding my breath about. Feels like I've been waiting a life time, it's so mentally draining this whole process

tourettesadhdmum · 27/02/2023 14:44

the wait is finally over! i rang dwp friday and was told another 4 week wait to then ring today and we’ve been awarded LRC and LRM! i have also got to send a letter in from school which the man told me to still send as the DM will reassess my claim based on that and said the back pay will be sent in 3 days x thank you to you all for the support youve given over the past 13 weeks and 6 days! good luck to those still waiting x

@tourettesadhdmum So pleased you have been awarded. Please read through the school report before you send it. I read on here a few days ago that a child has been awarded then the DWP received a report from the school then revoked the award and took it away😞Apparently this does happen if the school report contradicts the other information. X

Applied for DLA for youngest who is autistic. OG call 13/10/2022. 16/2/2023 got rejected despite medical professionals agreeing he needs it. Only just got the letter today 27/2/2023 to appeal that they’ve made the wrong decision. Anybody had any success in this? For a child who needs full supervision for autism, no danger awareness for safety at all and who has adhd. Child is a danger to himself massively. Any success stories? Does it get backdated if successful?
