DLA Wait Times Part 9 (2023)

Thought it was time for a new thread :)

It’s not just add/adhd. She has other medical needs also which also haven’t been diagnosed. However I sent a report from school. And also 2 letters of her previous consultant referring her to Alderhey. She is on various medications for these.
I suppose we will just have to wait and see. If we don’t get accepted. Do I have to reapply or would I just sent evidence of diagnosis.

I reapplied with the evidence and diagnosis letters ect hoepfully you will be accepted because is so stressful all the forms then the long wait

Evidence will do everything but diagnosis there dnt care what there got but it's what day to day care there need day and night look like you got that u will get . Am still waiting for my son

My scan date was the 24th November. Starting to get totally nervous now. Think I will brave it and call them tomorrow and see whether they can provide an update.
Congratulations all of you with good outcomes! I’m feeling totally sick, I didn’t include any evidence but would like to think I outlined my LG’s care needs pretty well. She’s 6, it’s a tricky age. But definitely needs more input than either of my older 2 children did at her age.

Just an update..Soon as I got my decision yesterday I called up for all information date backdated to ect soon as I got off the phone I called up child tax credits to let them know date and rates they have already processed it this morning and will receive backdated money from the day I called DLA for the form and will receive backdated payment Tuesday 28th CTC asked me if I had my letter I said no bc DLA told me dates and rates over the phone….

That’s great!! If only uc was as accommodating! I’m gonna call at 9 I didn’t get chance yesterday. You was 17th wasn’t you? Did they get arsy with you ringing every few days? I don’t want them to be funny with me x

Yes I was 17th they made decision yesterday morning. Some was rude some was ok

Scan date 22/11 received my renewal award letter yesterday

@HenryCavillsPerfectTeeth if it’s an renewal what date was your current claim due to end?, if you don’t mind me asking please.

I’ve just rang! It rang once and was straight through! Been awarded hrc lrm I’m so happy!!! Daughters 16 in June awarded until 18th June 2024!! I can’t actually believe it!!

well after what seems like the longest wait ever I got a text this morning saying my son qualifies I actually cried not sure on rates yet but right now the battle is over Thankyou to everyone in this group it’s kept me going

@Leannepap It might be worth starting your PIP application, they are taking around 5/6 months for new claims, give them a call and see if its worth applying now so your payments continue. Once your child turns 16 the DLA payments stop xx
