@Mummyemx hey yeah my son was awarded hrc, lrm and I'm still currently waiting for the backpay of disabled child element on uc too, been waiting since 30th August, the dm decided I was entitled to it on the 12th september for backpay. Just waiting for them to calculate it

Just called, still with the DM!! He told me MR are taking 4 weeks and mine has passed 4 weeks now so he has marked as urgent and upscaled jt to be done?

2under2and1more · 28/09/2022 16:18

Starting to think it’s bad news, taking so long!

NotJustAnybody · 28/09/2022 17:29

I'm still waiting for DLA renwal due 14/10.
I had a letter today and I thought 'this is it'. I made a cup of coffee and braced myself only to read that it's from DWP Carers Dept - telling me that my current award runs out on 16/10 and my Carers will stop!
Now, I know not to panic. They only sent that as the renewal date is looming and I haven't updated them, as I can't yet.
Was getting HRC and LRM. I don't realistically expect to get that again, as DS is 13 now but hoping at least for MRC.
Fingers crossed for everyone waiting. x

Shannon26 · 28/09/2022 17:50

If you've sent in for renewal do they continue to pay whilst you wait on a decision? DS renewal date 29th, but they only received 17th Aug as school took bloody ages filling their part of the form in then I was working so could not post it straight away. Due a payment beginning of October I'm just wondering if I will receive this if they are still processing it? We can't afford to live without this payment.

Just a quick update in case anyone else is waiting on a renewal. DS renewal date is tomorrow and I’ve just today received our letter dated 21st renewing his high rate care and low rate mobility which is what we’ve been getting. They’ve done it for 4 years this time which is great as he will be going to high school then so may need different support. I’m also glad I don’t have to go through the awful process again so soon 🤣

Chantastic · 29/09/2022 09:26

Hi everyone!!

I made an account purely to share my updates with you all 😂 thank you for this thread, i’ve been silently reading for a while!!

My form scan date was 05/07/22. I called today at 9am as someone suggested and I didn’t have to wait more than 15 minutes. Form isn’t with case manager yet, I was told to wait another 2-3weeks 🥺🙄

This process feels like it takes forever, requested and completed the form in June! I’m hoping if my LO qualifies, Carers won’t take as long? I’m so desperate for the help, single Mum to two boys and struggling to meet their extra needs 😭

8484859696A · 29/09/2022 09:34

Hi everyone I called this morning to request a text message once my decision has been made. My claim is with the decision maker now so shouldn’t be too long a wait.

Chantastic · 29/09/2022 09:52

@mumofboyz2 My scan date was 5th July too and I called today and they’ve said another 2-3 weeks 😪

Jo197 · 29/09/2022 10:01

I'm the 27th, I haven't rang at all yet I'm just holding out for a text message!

8484859696A · 29/09/2022 10:47

Got the tx my DC qualifies, it’s made me quite emotional tbh as we have struggled for so long with her extra care needs and didn’t know we could get help. Good luck to everyone who is waiting!
