A new thread for those waiting on DLA claims as the other one was rather full. @girlmum25

yeah it is strange some times they say they carnt you what dates there on they say something different each time you ring do they tell
you the reason why if it’s a no it’s all new to
me

2under2and1more · 27/09/2022 20:18

@Jo197 i asked for the reasons and was given reasons like ‘he’s young enough to need extra care anyway’ ‘he wakes in the night but you can settle him within an hour’ etc and I just made my point against each of their reasons. They changed their decision to HRC and LRM which seems the complete opposite of them saying he wasn’t entitled!
Hoping for the same news for my daughter but I’m not hopeful that they’ll change the decision for both children.

Mummyemx · 27/09/2022 20:52

Hello, sorry to jump in! My daughter was awarded dla back in may and I have been waiting 18 weeks so far for a decision maker to let me know about the back pay for disabled child element on universal credit. I have contacted them a couple of times to be told they don’t have a timeframe and it will be done once they get to it. I hope it doesn’t take as long for you all waiting! Well done everyone who’s had good news and good luck to every one waiting to hear x

Jodeeplus4 · 27/09/2022 22:54

@Oilytoe90 sorry but can I ask how you managed a 6 year back date? I’ve had problems with my son since 1 year old but didn’t know I could apply for DLA without a diagnoses so I waited but he is now 7 and finally diagnosed!

Jodeeplus4 · 27/09/2022 23:06

@2under2and1more gosh that’s the quickest one I have seen! I sent mine 15th July, had post office say they signed for it 18th, scanned 21st. I phoned Monday and was told to just keep waiting it hasn’t been looked at yet, they’re still working on June and to wait a few more weeks upto a month 🤦🏼‍♀️🤯

Its not a backdate lovely. Its a 7 year reward period. So won't have to renew for 7 years. The backdate is to 23rd June this year xx

Jo197 · 28/09/2022 07:39

@2under2and1more thank you I will challenge them if I get a no

Chay123 · 28/09/2022 07:46

Does anyone have an update on what date they are working on please? I rang yesterday but got someone quite rude who said they’ve never been told what dates they are working on and never get told if it’s with a decision maker so she wasn’t helpful at all, I’ve followed this post since July, and more people then not get told dates! X

candm777 · 28/09/2022 08:03

I saw someone said that they were now working on 28th June dates but I’m 23rd and still waiting thanks

Us3rnamee · 28/09/2022 08:04

@Chay123 other people have posted that they’re working on dates up to 28th June atm. However I’m 23rd and mines still with decision maker. And yeah depends who you get on the phone cos I’ve been told dates they’re working on and when it’s with decision maker !!

Chay123 · 28/09/2022 08:06

Defo depends on who you get. Hope you both get your decisions today and that they’re good news!

Oilytoe90 · 28/09/2022 08:13

Pending payment in my account today from Monday decision.

I hope those still waiting get answers very soon and good news 🙏😘

I sent mine 15th July too and got scanned on 26th. It's so random, with no order to it.

xams · 28/09/2022 09:42

My scan date is the 27th June. Heard nothing as of yet, to scared to ring incase they say he doesn't qualify 😣 no news is good news!
