Got*

claire071089 · 29/09/2022 13:02

I have everything crossed for you also, such a shame that it's not yet fully known as a disability. We are finding it difficult as they are still looking into different symptoms in girls :(

Thank you. I know, my daughter displays mild symptoms but no where near as bad as my son.. she's thriving at school and has lots of friends so there's no concerns! Just hoping we hear some good news soon, do you know if they text you even if it's unsuccessful? Or is it just a letter in the post?

mumofboyz2 · 29/09/2022 13:25

I wish they wouldn’t send out letters saying a decision should be made within 8 weeks, it’s clearly not happening in the majority of cases and it just makes the waiting worse for people as you fear it’s not good news 🙁

2under2and1more · 29/09/2022 13:33

We’re in a similar boat. My son gets HRC And LRM as he displays all the typical ADHD and ASD traits and sensory processing issues.
my daughter has been going down hill for years, her ocd has gotten uncontrollable to the point where she won’t use a cup that hasn’t been through the dishwasher and she will inspect everything. She’s on the ASD pathway. We’re struggling to cope with her, she cries 5+ times a day and is hard to settle, she just doesn’t tanks how to cope with normal day to day noise and life!

claire071089 · 29/09/2022 13:35

I am not to sure I've not read of anyone getting texts if unsuccessful, we were hoping that the money she would get can go towards her horse riding and gymnastics but it's an awful feeling knowing you are waiting for someone to judge your child.

mumofboyz2 · 29/09/2022 13:35

Chantastic · 29/09/2022 09:52

@mumofboyz2 My scan date was 5th July too and I called today and they’ve said another 2-3 weeks 😪

The waiting is awful isn’t it, feel on edge all the time and worried incase have to go through the appeal process. Hopefully won’t take too much longer now 🤞🏻

Bvbvbv · 29/09/2022 13:38

@Oilytoe90 hi did u hear anything bk from uc I’m stil waiting x

I feel exactly the same. I'm hoping it will pay for 1-1 swimming lessons, he started last year and they said they couldn't cope with him as he was unsafe in the pool 😣 he loves water too just gets over excited! I'd also like to replace his TV that he smashed 🤦🏽‍♀️ it can't be too much longer I'm hoping!

Db28 · 29/09/2022 15:01

I've just rang them, I'm same scan date as you, 30th June. Advised to call back next week Thursday/Friday as working upto 28th. Good luck 👍
