A new thread for those waiting on DLA claims as the other one was rather full. @girlmum25

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Pollyley · 16/10/2022 09:20

@ogb that's really helpful thank you. Maybe my child's is currently with the DM then and we might hear next week 🤞

Shellbel10 · 17/10/2022 10:10

if anyone rings today would you mind updating us all on what date they’re working on this week please.

Kayleigh93x · 17/10/2022 10:18

Someone on the other forum I am watching has said they are working on ones up to the 18th this week x

Mamofasd · 17/10/2022 10:19

I've just spoken to someone only took 18 minutes to get through I'm 18th July and have said its taking 13 weeks to reach decision maker which I'm on and that I will have a decision by the end of October x

Jhtm · 17/10/2022 11:26

My scan date is the 18th also, fingers crossed we will hear something soon

GemNE · 17/10/2022 11:33

So girls, I just phoned for an update (5th July scan date)
He said "it's sat with the decision maker" yeah sat being the operative word, was told last Tuesday it was with the DM and they were getting ones up to the 11th done. He said "It's taking up to 15 weeks at the moment which takes you into October"
It's been 15 weeks tomorrow for us I said...

JubileeTrifle · 17/10/2022 13:31

I actually got an acknowledgement letter this morning. My application is dated 23rd September so don’t expect to hear this year then.

Mumof3premies · 17/10/2022 13:55

Hello!
ive Been lurking for a while and reading the posts!
my scan date was 1st July for my 16 month old son.
he was awarded high rate care on the 13th October but only for 12 months…
he should get awarded again next year as his condition won’t change but it’s frustrating we have to go through all this again in 6 months time!
anyway how long does UC take to sort out careers element?

Lysha1988 · 17/10/2022 16:29

I’m going to have to call them, I sent my forms off 7 weeks ago and haven’t even had so much as a letter from them

Gemmalouise2 · 17/10/2022 16:37

long time lurker, first time poster. I rang not long ago, scan date 27th July so 12 weeks this week, I was told decisions are being made in 13 weeks and I should get a letter within 7 days after the 13 week mark. If I haven’t heard anything by then to call back

Pollyley · 17/10/2022 16:49

Still no news here. Hoping we may receive a letter anytime in the next week. So tempted to call them but his current award runs untill the end of this month. Also I wondered if my dc current award is possibly increased as his extra care needs have and they decide to give the higher care and possibly mobility aswel would he get a backdated sum from the date the renewal form went in which was June 30th. Or any award amount from the date following his current award ending..I feel like somebody who has done awards may know? @Ogb or @Cass29 just hoping to hear something soon.

Cass29 · 17/10/2022 16:51

I would think if they increase it you would get the extra back dated from your scan date i think anyways . Ive still not had news either x

Hi @Mumof3premies

my son is 16 months also, can I ask on what needs you son has and difficulties?

Ogb · 17/10/2022 17:07

@Pollyley i noticed you said you received a letter saying your carers allowance will stop and I did also dated the 27/09 and renewal award was 10 days after that on the 08/10.I got paid the backdated amount before I received the award letter so check your account tomorrow.

Pollyley · 17/10/2022 17:08

@Cass29 thanks for the reply. I feel hopeful that dc will be awarded and at an increase (I've sent in lots of evidence I feel however still worried about masking but he isn't just diagnosed with Autism he also has GDD diagnosis and a genetic diagnosis also). I really hope so anyways.

Got everything crossed for you to hear soon also. Surely we cannot be waiting much longer. I very nearly called them today but managed not to
Hopefully tomorrow we will hear. I counted the days and if it had been the same as ogb (12 days I should've heard today but havent). Preying for good news tomorrow

Pollyley · 17/10/2022 17:10

@Ogb nothing so far but I'm hoping. Based on your dates would mine figure out at tomorrow? Thanks

Cass29 · 17/10/2022 17:13

@Pollyley Fingers crossed we hear this week think there is only me and you that haven't heard and waited forever well feels like it anyways 😂

Pollyley · 17/10/2022 17:14

I think we are both the longest waiting ones here. I think it's been 16 or 17 weeks for us. X

Ogb · 17/10/2022 17:14

@Pollyley yes give or take 1-2 days if they are falling behind.also check the date on your carers letter as I posted above and compare.

Pollyley · 17/10/2022 17:23

@Ogb I've just done the comparison and it's more than 10 already 😞

Pollyley · 17/10/2022 17:24

Give or take the weekend, maybe tomorrow like you say. I hope so. X

Dla Wait Times October 2022

Just wondering what sort of wait times on a new claim decision people have experienced with a scan date of around 29th July ?

Jhtm · 17/10/2022 18:32

My scan date is the 18th July rang today was told they are working on and around that date and ring back in 2 weeks if not heard anything

RedfoxE · 17/10/2022 19:22

Scan date 27th July, was awarded 3rd of October.

Shellbel10 · 17/10/2022 20:20

Can I ask what evidence you sent @RedfoxE you got awarded quicker than most. Good news
