Last I was told is that they’re working on dates up until 11th July x

Pollyley · 14/10/2022 14:09

@Cass29 I think another 2 weeks for my dc. In meantime a letter has arrived regarding CA stopping. Hoping it's just process and there will be no issue if dc is renewed. I just need to know now, it's very worrying. I tried to phone to ask them to prioritise it but got cut off. Can't face calling again.

KodaS · 14/10/2022 14:13

I spoke to a friend who is the 16 July and been awarded this week. Think it depends on how fast the person who has your case is working and whether they are full or part time

Cass29 · 14/10/2022 14:14

@Pollyley im thinking 3 weeks for me they did say around 20 weeks . Surely they should renew for you on time so nothing else stops because that would be a nightmare no wonder you are stressed about the wait . My 2 friends did new claims one was 10 weeks one was for 14 im assuming its just will pile it ends up on regarding how quick people get answers x

Cass29 · 14/10/2022 14:14

Whos*

Pollyley · 14/10/2022 14:18

@Cass29 have you spoken to them? If I remember correctly yours is a coc? So different to a renewal? Let me know if u call them won't you, hoping you can put me at ease a little. X

Shannon26 · 14/10/2022 14:19

@Pollyley they did my sons renewal on the day it ran out, my carers has been stopped because of that had to ring carers and ask to reinstated, still.waiting to hear from carers it's coming up 7 weeks now for me x

Pollyley · 14/10/2022 14:23

@Shannon26 oh never! Hope that doesn't happen to me 😪.
They should really try and respond before it actually runs out because it messes everything up otherwise. Hopefully you will get a lump sum soon Shannon, I will struggle to meet his extra care needs without the financial support so I am very worried

Shannon26 · 14/10/2022 14:26

@Pollyley yeah fingers crossed for you! 🤞 it's honestly been a nightmare but yeah dla told me renewals were getting done a few days before they were due to run out an then it got.to the few days before then they said it won't be done till the day it runs out! I really hope you get what your dc deserves! Yeah I rang carers yesterday they actioned it and sent it to a manager apparently so hopefully not much longer now x

Cass29 · 14/10/2022 14:26

Wow thats shocking. Ive not rang them again tbh @Pollyley but i did see a lady on another thread saying she was ringing as her coc had been 16 weeks ive asked her what they said just waiting on her reply i will let you know if she replies to me x

Jhtm · 14/10/2022 16:01

JubileeTrifle · 14/10/2022 22:26

I posted mine a month ago and I’ve heard nothing, is that unusual, should I get a letter with a scan date?

GemNE · 15/10/2022 09:59

I posted mine at the end of June, it got scanned 5th July and when I got my letter confirming receipt it was dated 8th July so maybe give them a call to confirm

nuero · 15/10/2022 10:07

11th July - had money showing in my account so fingers crossed all. Works out HRC and LRM

I sent mine on the 16th. I got a letter this morning that said they got it on the 26th.

Shellbel10 · 15/10/2022 12:38

Great news @nuero can I ask what evidence you sent

nuero · 15/10/2022 12:51

We never actually sent much, just SALT report and referral for assessment as he’s not diagnosed yet - so super happy we never got declined and had to appeal

Mysonis6 · 15/10/2022 14:55

Hi, I have recently applied for my son who is 6 with asd diagnosis and is under assessment for adhd. He has been prescribed melatonin. They have requested my sons birth certificate but I’m assuming it’s because my son has dads surname and not mine. Lady on the phone said it hadn’t been looked at but I’m just curious is that something they ask in general when they the child names surname is different to parent they live with? The evidence I sent in was his asd reports from paed doc along with prescription and occupational therapy report which states all of his motability is slightly behind. Would this be enough evidence? School are currently in the process of setting up the start of echp but the senco is so lazy it’s unreal!! He can’t dress himself for pe and has his own dinner lady as there been incidents of violence from older children towards my son. Thank you in advance. Xx

Ogb · 15/10/2022 19:19

Got my renewal award letter today dated the 08/10.scan date was the 12/07 and my son has been awarded hrc this time instead of mrc.I’m well pleased as it’s very much deserved.he was diagnosed asd when he was 6 (now 14) and we thought as he gets older it would get easier but It seems it’s quite the opposite in our case at least.good luck everyone

Bunnysarah · 15/10/2022 21:42

@Jhtm ive just applied for my son who has just turned one! He has been diagnosed with kabuki syndrome and also has hypotonia, list could go on. I am also panicking he wont be awarded due to his age! Keep me posted please when you hear back from DLA! X

Pollyley · 16/10/2022 08:38

@Ogb so pleased for you and your dc. Can I ask was the award given a week before the old award ran out or done on that day? Just wondering when you had your reply? A few people I've spoken to have said they have been responded to a week before it runs out so I'm hopeful I might get an answer this coming week instead of in 2 weeks time. Thanks
