A new thread for those waiting on DLA claims as the other one was rather full. @girlmum25

Good luck to everyone, I don't think it's in any particular order as we are an end of July date, feel so grateful the wait is over, but awful for everyone still waiting anxiously. I'm going to leave the thread now, but good luck, I hope your families get the support you deserveFlowers

Hi, first post here! Been following for a while.. Just got text this afternoon saying my son qualifies- scan date 7th July, England. Not sure how much it is, am going to hold out to know. Just fort I’d let you all know as I know how stressful it is waiting! Fingers crossed it’s soon for you all! X

Zo93 · 10/10/2022 18:09

Also I’d only sent of his autism diagnosis x

4xmum123 · 10/10/2022 18:37

Im 7th of july too. Havent heard anything. My sons has autism also but only got diagnosed last monday. I phoned and let them know and said I would send the letter when i get it.

Zo93 · 10/10/2022 18:46

I worked out from everyone else’s if I’d not heard by Friday then I’d ring.. maybe they’re hanging off till they get your diagnosis? Hope you hear soon! X

Zo93 · 10/10/2022 18:49

Meaning so they get the right amount, so they don’t have to change it? I’m not sure just guessing.. I’m a first time claim so not sure how it works, I’ve had a diagnosis for about a year but didn’t really no much about the dla till Recently unfortunately x

4xmum123 · 10/10/2022 19:01

Yea were 1st time claimers too and yes maybe they will wait?
I dont expect the letter for about another week as they said about 2. Will be annoying to have to wait a few more weeks to get a decision. 😀

3melaninboys · 10/10/2022 19:51

My scan date is the same, hopefully not too long!

3melaninboys · 10/10/2022 19:52

@HeathenPlayingHouse my scan date is the same, hopefully not too long!

MissRedd · 10/10/2022 19:56

Hi All,

Apparently this week they're working up to 11th July. Quite a jump between last week and this week so hoping to hear something soon. This wait is a killer!

mumtobgtwins · 10/10/2022 20:04

Hi all, I was scan date of June 29th and hadn't heard anything or managed to get through to speak to anyone (had to hang up everytime as took such a long time on my lunch break)... I've had a payment into my bank today. Just thought it might be helpful to any others waiting with a similar date! Good luck all.

Pollyley · 10/10/2022 20:18

@mumtobgtwins was it a new claim or a renewal? Thanks

mumtobgtwins · 10/10/2022 20:24

Pollyley · 10/10/2022 20:18

@mumtobgtwins was it a new claim or a renewal? Thanks

It was a new claim. Hope this helps.

4xmum123 · 10/10/2022 20:41

Fingers crossed 🤞 for everyone!
Cant believe its nearly our turns after checking this thread an unhealthy amount of times a day 🙈 for weeks

Lila15 · 10/10/2022 20:50

7th of July here too! Rang Friday was with Dm said up to another week

Mamofasd · 10/10/2022 21:07

Ahh the fact its getting closer is making me more nervous I'm a 14th July stamp date, I've literally fought for everything for my little boy and thinking it's going to be the same and we will be declined, good luck everyone! I too have checked this thread religiously for weeks

Shellbel10 · 10/10/2022 21:15

I feel the same. Dr says they can’t refer and to go through school and not getting anywhere with school either even though he’s been on the senco register for 2 years. All the evidence I have is ieps and proof of prescription for sleeping. It’s so stressful

Natalien90 · 11/10/2022 07:20

Hi first time commenting currently waiting to here back on my sons claim date stamped on form is 8th July date they received 13th August (I waited for paedatrician diagnosis letter until sending forms in) so checking if anyone from around the same time had heard anything yet? I am panicking now (I have sent around 60 pages of evidence so hoping it doesn't slow it down 🙈) I also get child tax credits if my son qualifies for DLA and we get higher tax credits what is the extra amount and also does it get back dated from date on forms like DLA payments? Thanks so much 😊😊

Kits45 · 11/10/2022 07:45

My scan date is the 22nd of July phoned yesterday was told last week of October for a decision I'm a bit worried tho as my son is only 2 he has an autism diagnosis which I sent and paperwork from salt all my pedatrition letters and his asq from health visitor but concerned his age might count against him. the wait times are painful

Jo197 · 11/10/2022 08:29

Has anyone had their back pay from ur for carters element ? Xx

Jo197 · 11/10/2022 08:30

Carers

Mumofadhd · 11/10/2022 09:15

My daughters is due to run out on friday i sent forms late as i was waiting for a copy of ehcp. just rang and it's all sorted and staying the same. it's been a long 8 weeks.

Lysha1988 · 11/10/2022 10:00

If they received mine 13th September, im probably expecting a long wait

barnsleylass86 · 11/10/2022 10:09

Hi all. Ive been silently watching this thread for a while . My scan date is the 5th of August , I called yesterday and was told that it was with DM . But called to change my mobile number this morning and asked for an update while I was on and was told their working on the 11th of July at the moment and my claim hasn't been looked at yet and won't be for another 3 and a half weeks. Why is there so much inconsistency. Good luck for everyone waiting.
