A new thread for those waiting on DLA claims as the other one was rather full. @girlmum25

What dates are they working on currently? I am 11th July and this wait is horrible

Pollyley · 06/10/2022 19:44

Ah I see. So I expect that new claims are being done first then by the sounds of it. Hopefully you will know tomorrow.

Is there anyone here with June 30th who is a renewal claim still waiting? Thanks

Cass29 · 06/10/2022 20:20

Mine is a review but is not due to run out anytime soon mine is because my sons needs had changed so i have asked them to look at it again and submitted new reports etc. But my scan date is the 16th of june i phoned them once which was Tuesday as i never got a letter to say received or anything but did get the sorry letter around 2nd week of august and nothing more so i gave them a call and she just said it has not been looked at yet it was scanned the 16th of june so you are looking at a few more weeks yet so im assuming it could be around the 20 week mark for me now x

Shannon26 · 06/10/2022 20:45

@Pollyley hey I really don't think it goes by scan date when it's a renewal, mine sons renewal was recently done they scanned it the 10th May. But we never got a decision till the 30th August which was the day his renewal was due to run out. I got told at the time they're nit being done till the actual day they're due to run out x

Pollyley · 06/10/2022 21:05

Ah thanks both for advising. It's a horrible wait but I have to just try and be patient.

Shannon26 · 06/10/2022 21:11

@Pollyley it's no bother hun! The wait is absolutely awful I totally agree with you! When is your renewal due to run out? X

Cass29 · 06/10/2022 21:31

Its awful. Hopefully not much longer now x

Pollyley · 06/10/2022 22:00

@Shannon26 end of this month. X

Shannon26 · 06/10/2022 22:02

@Pollyley hopefully they do it before then for you! Hopefully not much longer! Gets tedious towards the end doesn't it! Good luck hope you get what your dc deserves x

Lila15 · 06/10/2022 22:41

Scan date 7th July..was told next week when I phoned last week! Been following for a while

Pollyley · 06/10/2022 23:08

@Shannon26 I hope so, I'm honestly feeling sick with worry about how we will meet his extra care needs without it. I'm going to try and put it to the back of my mind as I literally can't sleep its worrying me so much.
@Lila15 hiya, is yours a renewal also or a new claim? X

Lila15 · 07/10/2022 06:49

@Pollyley mines a new claim the man told me between 13-14 weeks when I called him last Wednesday, I am going to call again this afternoon.

Rose22212 · 07/10/2022 07:08

30th of june and still waiting......

Pollyley · 07/10/2022 07:23

@Rose22212 are you a new claim or renewal?

Rose22212 · 07/10/2022 07:58

Pollyley · 07/10/2022 07:23

@Rose22212 are you a new claim or renewal?

New claim. Will you ring them today?

Db28 · 07/10/2022 08:35

Fingers crossed today's the day for us all waiting up to the 1st July 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Pollyley · 07/10/2022 09:01

No I don't think I'm going to ring. It looks like only the new claims are being responded to and my child's is a renewal not a new claim. So I think il ring them 5 days before it's runs out. Il keep eye here though and if I get any update via text or post il share here.
Hope everyone else gets an answer today

MissRedd · 07/10/2022 09:08

Hi all my scan date is on the 5th July and was told this morning it was allocated to a DM! So so worried DD won't get it but will call back on Monday morning!

Cass29 · 07/10/2022 09:36

Ive been ok but once i got to 15 weeks ive started to panic about it and now it seems to be dragging waiting and worry is setting in now . I remember my first claim 3 yr ago everyone was hearing in 8 weeks i had to ring week 12 n they had basically forgot about me but he sent it to the decision maker same day and by the Tuesday had money in the bank

Ogb · 07/10/2022 11:43

I find the wait really frustrating.mine is a renewal scan date 11th July.phoned yesterday and was told it’s not even been looked at.the claim runs out on the 20th of this month and the thing that’s most annoying is it doesn’t give anyone the chance to appeal the decision if you disagree…..

sjf19811 · 07/10/2022 12:40

Anyone had a text today. Was told on Wednesday I would hear this week, but don’t want to call and ask again. Expecting a no anyway as no one has really listened when it comes to my son. Been a constant battle to get any help

Pollyley · 07/10/2022 12:48

@Ogb you should be able to appeal the decision if it does come back a no. Its called a mandatory reconsideration (MR). Sounds like they won't look at yours till a few days before then being a renewal and it's the same for me. The waiting is awful.

Yes thanks that I know.what I meant was I could be awarded the lower rate instead of the middle rate which would in turn affect my uc and carers allowance.but had a decision been made before it might have given the time to sort ie mandatory reconsideration before this award is up.

Db28 · 07/10/2022 13:01

Heard nothing yet here, I'm ringing them at 4. I'm also expecting a no 😖

Pollyley · 07/10/2022 13:11

@Ogb ah yeah I get you. Frustrating that it's messing with the other aspect of financial support because its taking so long.

@Db28 I'm expecting you to update us today with an award. Fingers crossed for you. (New claim ain't you?)
