Donnagl · 04/10/2022 10:56

Thank you Hun so happy 🤍🤍

Pollyley · 04/10/2022 11:12

I don't understand why I was told to wait essentially another 4 weeks then. So happy for all those who have had info today.
My scan date is June 30th, surely it can't be another 4 weeks for ne but I phoned yesterday and that's what she said. I just need to know now tbh. 😪

Hopefully you will have a lot less time to wait than that. I called yesterday and was told dates up to the 1st July should be getting looked at by the decision makers this week. Guy I spoke to said sometimes they can make a decision the same day if they have all the info they need but it can take longer if they have to request any extra info from GP or school etc

Pollyley · 04/10/2022 11:40

@mumofboyz2 I hope you are right, I'm honestly wondering how people can be told things so differently..maybe due to their area or the date their current award runs out..I feel like I've waited such a long time, I think this is the 14th week now, I'm genuinely concerned how the heck we would meet his extra care needs without the financial support so I really am preying he is awarded it again. My biggest worry is that at school he masks, I've sent in significant amount of evidence so hopefully it will be enough but it is such a worrying time.

claire071089 · 04/10/2022 12:19

Just got our message we have also been awarded:)

harjinder01 · 04/10/2022 12:20

Pollyley · 04/10/2022 12:31

@claire071089 wonderful news! Did they text you? Are you June 28th.

claire071089 · 04/10/2022 12:41

I am June 28th I just called them x

IfCanCanICan · 04/10/2022 12:52

Great news claire.

I rang again this morning after reading Donnagl's post. And it's been awarded. So relieved. Have been told to expect payment within 3-5 days.

Hope everyone hears soon!

alwaysonthegomum · 04/10/2022 13:00

@2under2and1more what evidence did you send in if you don’t mind me asking?
and same to everyone else really.
I sent Educational psychologist report and school that backs up the additional support he needs. It is exceptionally more than his peers.
but also a report from camhs that basically fobbed me off and just gave me a load of other places to look for help.
im exhausted from it all.
all I want is the help and support he needs

Asdadhd101 · 04/10/2022 13:05

Congrats to everyone 🥳. Been following the thread since August patiently as my received date is 21 July…am glad they are looking at July NOW.

2under2and1more · 04/10/2022 13:07

@Pollyley don’t worry too much. I got a letter yesterday so say they’re sorry it’s taking so long and I’ll hear back within 4 weeks. Today I got a call from DWP asking for more info and they’re ringing the school. He said I’ll have a decision by the end of today!

claire071089 · 04/10/2022 13:07

Did camhs give a diagnosis?

2under2and1more · 04/10/2022 13:08

@alwaysonthegomum i sent in loads. School assessments for ASD and Autism. The autism pathway referral. Her diagnosis letter from the gp, her schools care plan etc!

alwaysonthegomum · 04/10/2022 13:17

@2under2and1more I think I’m more concerned because camhs said they found no psychological issues and that his snap forms didn’t meet criteria for assessment, yet then wrote up a safety plan which outlined lots of things so he didn’t harm himself or other people contradicting what their outcome was. They also referred him on to other places to do therapy and loads of online things for me (that I’ve already done and not helped)
ed psychologist backs up what I said and school have exhausted every avenue and are in the process of applying for an ehcp..
I keep trying everything I can and keep having door closed in my face.
if it wasn’t for the fact how much help and support he needs I’d give up because it so disheartening.

alwaysonthegomum · 04/10/2022 13:18

@2under2and1more snd school contacted camhs personally and expressed their deep concerns for my sons mental health and this just got overlooked

Pollyley · 04/10/2022 13:27

@2under2and1more I hope you are right. No point me phoning again after what I was told yesterday but the wait is agonising

Pollyley · 04/10/2022 13:33

@2under2and1more them ringing the school worries me because my son masks so much at school. My boy was observed at school and at home, I sent in a document from her stating she was shocked etc to see him outside of his school routine self injuring etc. I dunno. I'm trying to be patient and wait and hopefully the outcome will be positive for him.
