A new thread for those waiting on DLA claims as the other one was rather full. @girlmum25

@Pollyley let's keep our fingers crossed that the person I spoke to was right!

ConfusedCarers · 03/10/2022 17:26

Hi just looking for some advice, for the carers element of UC how does it work? My DS gets MRC DLA but I work so can’t apply for carers allowance, can I still apply for the carers element of UC? Do I need to fill another big form out to show how I care for extra 35 hours or is it just added automatically when I tell UC about the DLA?

dandymum · 03/10/2022 20:11

I would just do the relevant change in circumstances and pop a note in your journal to say you been awarded Mrc and need to update claim for career element and disability element

Chay123 · 04/10/2022 07:00

Hoping more of you get some good news today 😊x

Pollyley · 04/10/2022 08:02

2under2and1more · 04/10/2022 09:47

DWP have just called me to discuss the claim, scan date 12th July. MR was 27th July.
went through all of it again and her needs etc and he’s ringing her school to speak to the teacher at 3.30. He said a decision will be made today.
from what he was saying it’ll be low rate mobility low rate care but we will see, crossing everything.

Donnagl · 04/10/2022 09:49

It really does it really has got to be soon as some on the 28th allready had txts Saturday

Everlong1234 · 04/10/2022 10:03

Hi everyone,
My scan date was 29th June. Just got off the phone, a decision was made yesterday - HRC, LRM. So relieved! Been following this thread for a while. Good luck to everyone. I didn't receive a date even though I asked for one on previous calls.

Everlong1234 · 04/10/2022 10:04

I didn't receive a text I mean

Bvbvbv · 04/10/2022 10:13

Hi everyone whoever was 28th June not heard check ur banks for payments usually they pay today and take it from there good luck all x

Donnagl · 04/10/2022 10:17

Well that's me out then nothing haha

xams · 04/10/2022 10:18

My scan date was the 28th June, I received a text Friday and rang them to confirm rates etc.. they said the back payment would be made by the end of this week.. had nothing hit my account yet though!

Bvbvbv · 04/10/2022 10:18

@Donnagl lol i would ring them up see how far they r

xams · 04/10/2022 10:19

If anyone is still waiting from the 28th June, I'd give them a ring today and ask if a decision has been made as they seem to be going past that date now, if they haven't sent a text you could be waiting a few more days for a payment to clear.

Bvbvbv · 04/10/2022 10:20

@xams they r quick at back payment wait til Thursday

Donnagl · 04/10/2022 10:22

kateof2 · 04/10/2022 10:23

Good luck everyone! Our scan date is 27th July, looks like we'll be waiting until the first week of November with how long it seems to be taking

claire071089 · 04/10/2022 10:23

Do they only pay on a Tuesday? Also how long does it take for them to pay? Thank you 😊

Bvbvbv · 04/10/2022 10:24

@Donnagl congratulations 🥳

claire071089 · 04/10/2022 10:24
