DLA wait times september 2022

A new thread for those waiting on DLA claims as the other one was rather full. @girlmum25

Hi everyone. I applied for dla for my son and it was scanned on the 12th of August. Hoping it won't be much longer for a decision, I applied last year waited 14 weeks for a decision and he was turned down 😩 praying it doesn't take as long this time. I'm sure your all aware how much it affects you waiting about for an answer x

I have just phoned and to my surprise I was answered within 1 minutes I could not believe it! My scan date is the 30th June and it’s with the decision maker now there working on the dates up to the 1st of July she said xx

Guess I’ll be waiting until next week then as I’m the 2nd July. They told me it would be by this Friday 2 weeks ago

It’s taking about 14-15 weeks at the moment

Hopefully you might still hear this week but she said for me to phone back about Friday for mine I guess it’s all guessing work for them. But yes 14-15 it’s awful x

Hello, 30th of June scan date here also. I really need an answer now as I can't sleep at night, I'm too worried to ring them so been quietly following here for a while.
Can I ask those who are the 30th of June aswel, what date does your actual current award run out? (Ours is a renewal)Does that affect your wait time reply? My sons is the 29th October. I have heard people saying they wont actually even look at it until the date it runs out!

Hi at DB28, is yours a first time application or a renewal? If it is a renewal what date does your current award run out? Hope its OK to ask x

My scan date is 28th June and I'm still waiting. It's 15 weeks tomorrow. I rang last week and the lady said another 2 weeks but reading this thread some people with my date already have it. It's such a headache waiting.

Oh gosh I just don't know whether to ring or not. What areas are you from? Is there anyone from Wales with scan date of June 30th and award running out end of Oct?

my scan date was the 28th of June I was down for a text but I had t herd anything just got off the phone and a decision has been made awarded MRC and LRM so happy hope everyone gets a positive result

I’ve been told i have to fill a form in which is what they send out up to 20 weeks before turning 5 as the original scan date was over that time. Arg round 2. Only saving graces is by time I’ve filled it in, they scan it and the 15 weeks wait for decision he’ll be 5 and if awarded it’l be from straight away i guess x

Just got off the phone to them and a very helpful advisor. They working upto the 1st July this week. My claim is still not with a decision maker 😣 was advised to call back Friday if I haven't heard anything.

@Db28 thanks for the update, it's a horrible feeling not knowing. Hopefully you will have heard by Friday then. I'm trying to put it to the back of my mind for now then and il maybe call Friday. Hopefully we all get the replies soon

I just got off the phone too. They are working up to the 1st like @Db28 said. Mine was scanned on the 28th and still nothing. She told me to ring back Friday 🤷

My scan date is the 28th June and mine is now with a decision maker. Hopefully not long now.

Guys just to let you know that once you are awarded and inform uc you may be entitled to a change of circumstance loan. And also make sure u request your disabled child element to be backdated to your dla award date xx

@Oilytoe90 what the change of circumstances loan i have requested the chills element and for it to be back dated

Just call them up and request a change of circumstance advance. Amount u get will vary but it will help x
