A new thread for those waiting on DLA claims as the other one was rather full. @girlmum25

Soo happy to see all these awards 😊 especially ones that I’ve followed quietly for so many weeks. Week 13 today for me, I’m an anxious mess, hopefully I hear next week x

Hopefully not long for you. Got everything crossed for you xx

Good morning..
Is there anyone who's scan date 30th of june gets any update ???

Shellbel10 · 30/09/2022 10:26

You had the same evidence as me so I’m going to follow you to see if you get awarded my scan date not til aug so I’ve got a long while yet x

Bunnysarah · 30/09/2022 10:47

Can i ask what evidence everyone has sent in to help.
I sent in a letter from the pediatrician, a letter with his diagnosis, letters with names and addresses of all the health professionals he sees. Im just so anxious because that he either wont be awarded or will only get low rate and then its appealing it then!

Morning, my son finally has his ASD assessment on monday morning 🥳 can i please check how i give the DLA extra evidence etc. Is there a way of doing it online or do I have to do it by post? Many Thanks x

Morning, congratulations! I sent all my extra info the the address 'FREEPOST DWP DLA CHILD' and they received everything fine. As far as I know there isn't an online facility yet.

Hope that helps!

Still nothing for the 28th June

Hey, for our claim, we've sent in Psychologist reports, a copy of the prescription list, Local Council interventions and assessments, School support plans and a diagnosis letter.

Hope that helps!

claire071089 · 30/09/2022 10:55

Unfortunately they are still only working on cases upto the 28th June so it would likely be a couple of months before they reach August.

Kas76 · 30/09/2022 11:32

My son is waiting for an asd assessment and an ehcp assessment. He has school reports and school phycologist reports which point very much to asd... does anyone know his chances on getting awarded. The stamp date was 1st August.

Me! MR has taken award from mrc only to hrc and hrm 🥳

Gcmum11 · 30/09/2022 12:25

Sorry probably a stupid question but I'm new to all this, if they award mrc and you ask for a MR can they then change their mind to lower rate or nothing at all ? Or would it just stay as what they originally awarded ?

Chay123 · 30/09/2022 12:29

That’s brilliant news! Really happy for you and your family ☺️ Xx

Chay123 · 30/09/2022 12:32

This is a stupid question.. How many weeks would you say the 1st of July was ago? As In the last week I’ve rung twice and they’ve both argued both times with me, that I haven’t worked it out correctly. I’m getting 13 weeks today?! Blowing my mind haha.

Defo 13 weeks today? What are they taking about??

FishFingerSandwiches4Tea · 30/09/2022 13:06

Thanks everyone ☺️. Keeping everything crossed for good news for you all soon. @Gcmum11 it's a risk but a tiny one I'd have thought? If you genuinely feel your child is entitled to a higher rate then the most likely outcome is an increase or it stays the same. I was fairly confident with mine because the decision letter stated that only the claim form and diagnosis had been looked at, so other strong evidence had been ignored. For the time it takes to write a letter I definitely think it's worth it x

Jo197 · 30/09/2022 13:25

iv rang today my scan date 28th of June still no decision so frustrating 😡

I know it's frustrating.. but that gives me a slither of hope as I haven't received a text yet and was disheartened. My scan date is the 28th too!

Jo197 · 30/09/2022 13:50

@xams is yours with a dm she wouldn’t tell me she said they just get assigned to a case manager then the decision just gets put on i think it depends who you get on the phone they all tell you different things

I haven't rang at all, I'm in work and wont have time to stay on hold.. I'm just waiting for a text message 😞 xx

Pollyley · 30/09/2022 14:19

Hello, so I am waiting for the renewal update for my child's claim. I had a letter to say it was scanned in on end of June and I am still waiting. It has now been 13weeks. Its a worrying time, his extra care needs cost us so much money. I really hope I hear soon, his current award will end within 4 weeks. I am beyond anxious. Has anyone around the same time heard back yet? thanks

xams · 30/09/2022 14:39

I've just received my text to say my son qualifies!! I'm over the moon, I might ring now and see what he gets. I'll keep my fingers crossed for everyone else x
