Come and take my mind off it!

Suggest something indulgent we can do to distract ourselves.

Hi - News from me, my baby girl arrived on 24.06.10, 7 days after EDD by scan but on time using my dates

I was due to have a sweep at 10am but had started to have contractions at 5am, she was born at home at 4pm.

No special tips on going into labour, the only thing that I did the day before is spent a relaxing day with friends and forgot about being overdue. So that's all I can suggest, but I know not easy!

Good luck to waiting to be mums.

Hi all

My little girl arrived on 28 June - went for the induction in the end after a talking to at the hospital - by official dates she was 16 days overdue by the time she was born, and because I'd been on the pill immediately before my last LMP they wouldn't accept my date from me in the end.

I'm afraid the induction did set off a train of events, exactly as feared, which ended in an emergency c-section. It was just too violent for me to cope with after the third gel application, leading to diamorphine, then epidural, then c-section. However, I'm so delighted with my daughter and happy she's here safe that will put all this behind me. Everyone in the hospital was fantastic, can't fault them at all (apart perhaps from the initial doctor who gave me a talking to).

Congratulations to everyone who's produced their little ones in the last few days, and thanks for all your advice.
