I am waiting my little son, to meet you. I have a new haircut, shaved legs, and I am ready now.

So any time you like!

(7 days overdue)

How did you reach your legs to shave them?!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 16:23

I got my DH to do it for me Quite frustrating as he kept missing bits and I had to attempt to point them out without seeing.

I asked him if my lady garden looked ok, and he said 'darling, it looks fine'

Awwww

Good luck, I hope he shows soon!

Tillyscoutsmum · 24/11/2009 16:31

Book a pedicure for, say, Friday - try and exercise the law of sod . I'm 37 weeks today and already getting impatient so you have my sympathy

Good luck

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 16:34

Tilly - i am trying the law of sod as nothing else is working. I got my hair cut this morning, I have been driving 'on my own' () and I have sent DH out with DD to a friend's house on the Moors, takes 30 mins to get back. I have also changed the bedding so it is lovely and clean (but not quite brave enough to put my white egyptian cotton on, that would do the trick!).

And not even the law of sod is working right now!

Make the most of that new haircut, Pavlov - DD3 is 16 months old, I last got my hair cut 5 days before she put in her appearance....

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 16:38

poledra that is what I was thinking...it might be a while, and wehave family coming from abroad for christmas. At least it won't look too awful now. I have normally quite short hair, and it was scraggly. I got it cut into a style which means it can grow a bit before needing cutting. Thankfully. My temptation was to just say 'cut it all off' like i often do!

taps fingers on keyboard.

I guess i should go do something...

nevergoogledragonbutter · 24/11/2009 19:06

this is getting ridiculous. it feels like years ago i met you in exeter and you were pregnant then i think.

come on little pavlov!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 19:10

Dragon I think I bloody well was! Just at the start..Oh my that was a LONG time ago! Either that or I found out just after? I know I was not up for a cocktail night due to no alcohol.

I also found out when I was 3 weeks gone, so it has been forever.

OP posts:
PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 19:40

Seriously though.

I am fed up with this mammoth horrendous pregnancy. I actually feel a little less pregnant now than I did a few days ago which means I must be getting too used to it that it feels normal now .

I know he will be here in his on time, but really. it feels like it is never going to end now.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 24/11/2009 19:54

DS1 was 2 weeks late or maybe 10 days i can't remember now.

Anyhow, in a few years you won't remember either.

Good luck for when he does finally decide to make an appearance.

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 20:58

Thanks Dragon. How is Scotland? Cold? Looking forward to christmas there, or are you heading back this way for it?

OP posts:
nevergoogledragonbutter · 24/11/2009 21:11

it's wet. very wet.
oh yes, and cold.
having christmas up here as lots of family around and i have to work in between christmas and new year anyway.

still enjoying having babysitters.

i'm assuming you've got a quiet christmas planned. unless you've lost your mind.

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 21:21

I have, in fact, lost my mind

We have the american family over for christmas . we are all staying in a farmhouse in crediton. And I am not doing a thing.

Seemed like a good idea when it was agreed in June.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 24/11/2009 21:24

You loon. Nah you'll be stuffing the turkey while breastfeeding and you know it.

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 21:30

luckily, i am not really a cook. DH is. So, he will stuffing the turkey. I might have to lounge around and drink much needed wine with my SIL though. She is quite forceful and demanding and she is already insisting to everyone that i do nothing while the guys do the work. She is very much an american housewife. DH works, they eat take out, she has a cleaner! I shall like that influence this xmas!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 21:31

We have realised though, DH and I, that we are possibly a few marbles short.

We shall blame the builder, he did it to us

EachPeachPearMum · 24/11/2009 21:41

Heheh... I knew this was you!

Very best of luck my dear... a girl followed by a boy is a fabulous combination

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 22:22

How did you know it was me? Cos I moan so much? About pretty much everything pg related

I am very excited about having a boy actually. I would have been very happy with a girl as my little girl is wonderful, but this is going to be great. As long as he actually exists in there and is not in reality a huge belly of pork pies as I am starting to suspect

CarGirl · 24/11/2009 22:26

You are so impatient, you may have another 9 days to go if you're anything like me, at 16 days overdue I gave up and was induced!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 22:33

cargirl wow that is a long time overdue! I am being induced on monday if he is not here. Last week the consultant i saw arranged it and i was like 'yeah sure whatever' as i did not think in a million years he would be this late. In fact, I was sooooooo convinced he would be early like his big sister! In my head, i considered anything from 37wks as due, so therefore he is already weeks late!

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 24/11/2009 22:33

Yes.. my ds was 10 days over too...

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 22:33

i wonder how long you would have gone if you had not been induced?

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 24/11/2009 22:34

Oh, I guessed it was you, because I suddenly thought earlier... "Has Pav had her baby yet?"
