I am waiting my little son, to meet you. I have a new haircut, shaved legs, and I am ready now.

So any time you like!

(7 days overdue)

Wow, that is exciting!

Will be thinking of you and baby Pav.

(I did end up at the supermarket the other day and met a friend who has a 4 week baby. We went for coffee so got my cooing fix).

I got a puppy instead of another baby to try and quell my maternal instinct - but I'm not sure if its worked yet!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 26/11/2009 22:53

Not much happening here, belly is tightening a lot, more than normal, and I am v uncomfortable down below but putting that down to the invasive action that has just occurred! .

I have had a curry, a bath, and am now going to bed. DH is going to tidy kitchen after he has finished shaving (might as well look good in the photos, seeing as I have time to prepare!).
i am, for the first time, properly feeling excited, really excited YEY! Hurry up now little one!

Cool - hope you don't get a full night's sleep then!

And remember, tell your DH how to post a birth announcement for us

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 27/11/2009 08:32

I slept very well, what with my dd at a friend's and dh on the sofa that was not meant to happen! 4cm dilated and i am not in labour yet

He is clearly very comfy indeed.

24 hours! PAH.

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/11/2009 14:47

So are you still 4cm ?? No contractions at all ?? Bloody hell - you must be so fed up

I predict when it does start, it'll all be over very quickly [hopeful emoticon]

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 27/11/2009 14:54

i don't know if still 4cm, i guess so? no contractions at all. A show, but told to expect that after sweep. He is still kicking me under the ribs too! i can feel his little foot moving!

Fed up is absolutely how i feel. In limbo. It is just going on forever.

Eeek I feel really sorry for you. My friend is currently 12 days overdue with her first and fighting against induction.

Hopefully you and her see some baby action this weekend!

Drayford · 27/11/2009 15:02

Poor you Pavlov.....

I'm thinking of you and hope things speed up soon!

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 27/11/2009 15:02

ooh, hope it gets going for you soon

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/11/2009 15:03

Where would be the most embarrassing place your waters could go ?? Supermarket ? Soft play ? Taking your dd to see Santa in a busy shopping mall somewhere ?

Can you go for a walk to try and get things moving or is it all too uncomfortable ?

At the risk of being (virtually) punched - it can't be much longer....

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 27/11/2009 15:07

tilly we had that exact conversation this morning with friends when we picked dd up . We came up with the Library, as long as it was proper hollywood style with big gush of water and enormous contraction that made me double over with a long loud cry!

You are right. It won't be much longer, but even monday seems so far away. He won't be longer than say, tuesday.

DWP hope your friend has some luck soon too.

Drayford thanks!

tilly went for a long half hour walk this morning already. Waddled along at least!

oopsandbabycoconut · 27/11/2009 15:13

Pav - want to borrow my Dad's quadbike? Apparenlty it works a treat at shaking babies out

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/11/2009 15:15

Go on then - off you go to the library

I'm sure Monday/Tuesday sounds like forever but, on the bright side, at least you're not having painful contractions atm. These poor women who have latent labours (or whatever they're called) when they have contractions for 2-3 weeks sometimes, must just be ready to murder someone by the time they give birth. Its my worst fear I think...

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that things start happening very soon

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 27/11/2009 15:17

oops yeah go on, it will be fun even if it does not work

tilly there is that i guess, at least it is not hurting right now.

Vibration could be the way to go actually. A friend of mine was 10 days overdue and her water's went during a toddler group day out where we'd just been on a little train ride thing.

Try sitting on the washing machine whilst its on a fast spin (whilst ensuring no one can see you - obviously !)

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 27/11/2009 20:08

not possible as it is under a counter...

I give up to be honest. I am really really in a foul mood now. I cannot shake it. There appears to be absolutely no progress. I am not even really getting BH cx. The only thing happening is it is getting more and more sore to move about.

So I am now in bed sulking after a day of fed upness. I told DH he should go out, no point being up on his own bored. He can be home in 10 mins if he visits a local friend.

Sorry you are so fed up.

PavlovKitten- GET A BLOOMING MOVE ON. MUM WANTS TO MEET YOU!!!!!!!!!

Don't know if it helps, but I'm willing a fast and soon arrival for you.

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 27/11/2009 20:23

thing is, it feels like i have been pg for so much longer than with DD. With DD, i found out at 6 weeks or so, and she arrived at 38wks. This time, i found out pretty much immediately (not later than 3 wks) due to instant morning sickness and now already 3wks past when DD was born, so that is like 6wks longer already!

How overdue were you lockets in the end?

I feel so frustrated i want to pace/throw something/hit something.

I know there is end in sight, as they will break my waters on monday if he has not arrived by then. I just wish i had not had the sweep and been told i was already 4cm dilated, all it did was make me feel sore, and get my hopes up unecessarily. And clearly my body has some idea what to do, as it is already dilating, so i will be very frustrated if i need more help on monday.

Reading through this thread, i'd have said you'd have 'gone' on wed, as i had that really grumpy/fed up/in a very bad mood don't cross me feeling the day i went into labour, so maybe tonight... fingers crossed.

Aubergines · 27/11/2009 20:43

I haven't posted on your threads before Pavlov but this time last year I could have written every one of them.

DD1 arrived at 38 weeks so I was prepared for the same with DD2. 38 weeks came, nothing. 39 nothing. 40 sweep but still nothing. 41 second sweep and told I was 3/4 cm, nothing. 41+1 I had acupuncture, reflexilogy and went Christmas shopping on Oxford Strret. Contractions started in Selfridges even though I had not even been having BHs that week.

Ican't say it was a quick labour despite starting at 4 cm but at least it happened. Good luck!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 27/11/2009 20:52

I have sent him out, my DH. We have decided we need to do a bit more tempting fate. He has his phone, charged, i have his friend's number (a friend of mine too) in case his phone does not work, and he can be back in 10-15 mins. I have a phone right by me. So. Lets hope i go to sleep and then wake up with contractions that means he needs to get home sharpish!
