I am waiting my little son, to meet you. I have a new haircut, shaved legs, and I am ready now.

So any time you like!

lalalalala. Can't heaaaaar you! He will arrive tomorrow, as my best friend is off work and can make it too. That is the deal. Although it is not convenient for my other best friend who will be looking after DD, as it is her shopping day, and she is very precise about her routines oh well can't please everyone!

I often wonder too, however I feel 10lb 6oz and a very painful labour even with epidural and gas & air was big & painful enough!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 24/11/2009 22:43

how big? no c-section [admiration emoticon]. Impressive.

This baby is not likely going to be bigger than 7.5lb, i will be surprised if he is as big as that.

He will arrive on Sunday evening to make sure he's not induced. That's what my DD did anyway.

These threads make me broody

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 25/11/2009 04:19

i hope he gets here before then. DD arrived early to avoid being induced. it was like she knew . She was to be induced 8 days early, arrived 10 days early, the love!

OP posts:
sb6699 · 25/11/2009 10:22

I was due on 24th August, due to be induced on 2 September. DD arrived on 1st (not sure if the spicy burritos I had for my wedding anniversary the night before contributed!!)

I quite enjoyed being late. You end up with this overwhelming feeling of excitement/anticipation. A bit like Christmas as a child.

All this talk of babies makes me want to go to the supermarket to see if there are any in prams I can coo at (folk must think I am a complete loon!)

I take it there is no news yet?

No news

I have been to collect blinds from the couriers, and been to do a big shop in Asda. I decided, that would be the worst place for my waters to break, so therefore we went! (oh my word I dislike that shop, but its cheap isn't it?!). But all i succeeded in doing was getting home with bad acid indigestion, the slight shakes and feeling of unwellness/done too much. I had to nap for 30 mins (would have been longer but door bell rang).

I slept badly last night, and have been in a depressed mood ALL day, but DH is attempting to put our lovely new bamboo blinds up in the front room, so that should cheer me up. If he can ever find the power screwdriver, and the drill, and stop swearing, and figure out the instructions...

Did you buy rhubarb and custard?

I feel for you.

come on baby!!

CarGirl · 25/11/2009 14:35

pavlov perhaps your bubba needs to be a bit bigger so he sleeps for good long stretches during the night quicky.

At least you can count down knowing the baby will be here on Tuesday at the latest.

Is your feezer all stocked with meals ready to reheat, def worth doing whilst you're hanging around waiting.

I've been so broody but have got 2 cats instead they are very cuddly but don't wake up at night!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 25/11/2009 14:35

No rhubarb & custard , but i did buy oreos and have eaten an entire packet .

OP posts:
PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 25/11/2009 14:43

cargirl we had lots of food in the freezer, ready meals, cooked by me meals, stuff in cupboard to make lovely quick meals from scratch. All done weeks ago.

And slowly, we have eaten it all, on account of me not wanting to keep tidying the kitchen as it is so spotless .

I did find that there was a tendancy in Asda to buy a lot of crap. Anyone else shopped there? Found that to be the case?..i bought lots of tins of soup, then thought...what am i doing? I can make this myself and it will be healthy! So i put it all back, bought lots of veg and will make some soup for the freezer, plus a casserole for DH/DD and a chicken casserole.

But...right now i just cannot be bothered to do anything. I have run out of nesting instinct .

I think baby is putting on some fat in prep for the winter.

OP posts:
Tillyscoutsmum · 25/11/2009 14:52

Its getting cold out there - maybe they just need all the extra layers of fat they can get (I wonder if Winter babies tend to be later than Summer ones for that reason ?? - if we're that bored, we could do a useless MN poll).

Maybe you feeling crap is "niggling". I definitely had it with dd - the day before my waters went I was like a bear with a sore head

I've got a scan and consultant appointment tomorrow and am hoping they might suggest induction just after due date

I've also just had shopping delivered so I can make loads of soups/freezer meals etc. and booked hotel/spa day for our wedding anniversary on Sunday and a hair appointment for late next week.

Have the "Is there any news ?" calls started yet ?? They are by far the most irritating things about the last few weeks imo

CarGirl · 25/11/2009 14:59

Take the opportunity to lounge around and do nothing!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 25/11/2009 15:42

tilly yes, every call we make is 'is he here yet?' or BIL calling every day from USA in case for some reason we forget to call him! And every other person who thinks we are going to miss calling them, including the people who are looking after DD and coming with us to the birth!

OP posts:
PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 25/11/2009 15:44

CarGirl yes, I am trying, but DD wants me to play prince/princesses which involves lots of courtesaying, and I am currently wearing a dressing up outfit as I am the Queen, and DH is getting himself one and truly wound up with putting the blinds up, even though the one he has done so far looks ace. He will be all afternoon I think (drilling into UPV bay windows) so hopefully baby will give it a couple of hours before coming now as the front room is a mess!

I am hoping the feeling poorly is the start, but alas i think i just have DDs cold

Buda · 25/11/2009 20:18

Have you NOT had that baby yet????? Get on with it woman!

I was away over the weekend and wondered if you had had your baby yet as I was wandering around New York!

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 26/11/2009 06:50

Oh New York. I do like New York I am sure we will not be going there with 2 children any time soon ! Although better to do it before this one is 2 so its cheaper ! The New Yorkers in my family are coming here for christmas this year. What were you doing there? Bit of christmas shopping? Oh that reminds me, need to place my baby converse orders with the In-laws!

And no. STILL not arrived. I am seeing MW today. Was not going to have a sweep. Nah, did not need one of those, no way I was going to get anywhere near the induction date . But, it is looming - Monday, so i might just have one.

OP posts:
Buda · 26/11/2009 12:40

Hi there! Yes it was a shopping weekend with a girlfriend. Was fab. I LOVE New York!

Enjoy your sweep! Hope it works! My nephew was due on 14 Nov and arrived on 29th 11 years ago. Maybe you will have your baby on his birthday.

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/11/2009 13:51

Hope the sweep gets things started for you. 29th is my first wedding anniversary so that sounds like a good date to me

No early induction for me - scan this morning and they estimate about 8lb (at 37 weeks) which isn't too scary. Got to go back in 2 weeks if still no sign

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 26/11/2009 19:11

I had to go to day assessment to check baby as midwife was concerned about growth.

I am 4cm dilated, no contractions. They have let me come home on the condition I go in as soon as i get contractions, seeing as my body is moving forward without any contractions it is likely to be fast when it happens...i like the sound of that!

MW says very likely baby will be here within 24 hours. I hope so

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/11/2009 20:12

That is exciting.... Look forward to hearing birth announcement soon

C'mon baby Pavlov
