sacha3taylor · 10/03/2005 21:02

DS1 - nearly 50 hours!
DD - 13 hours
DS2 - 2.5 hours

I'm not having anymore but at least they got quicker

coppertop · 10/03/2005 21:03

With ds1: 40 hours

With ds2: 6 hours

Induced both times.

Newbarnsleygirl · 10/03/2005 21:03

mmmmchocolate · 10/03/2005 21:03

waters breaking to birth 24 hrs & 15 min

actual pain labour 13 hrs

ThomCat · 10/03/2005 21:07

From the first mile 'ohhh, I think I had a contractions then' (after downing castor oil) to babe in arms - 6 hours, no intervention at all of any description, other than the castor oil!

I consider myself v lucky as it all seemed so spot on with regards to timing.

milward · 10/03/2005 21:07

dd1: 7.5 hrs, DD2: cs, DD3: 1.5hrs & 2 weeks early as well!! Luckily had just got everything packed & ready the day before.

emmatmg · 10/03/2005 21:09

ds1 = about 30 hours from the first twinge, probably only about 6hrs actually in established labour.
ds2 = 3hr 45 mins start to finish.
ds3 = my notes say 2hrs 19 mins (MW gave me a copy)

lavenderrr · 10/03/2005 21:09

ds1 from first mild but painful contractions to giving birth 2 days and 6 hours, real labour about 6 hours

ds2 pains to birth 8 hours

biglips · 10/03/2005 21:10

17 hours

lou33 · 10/03/2005 21:10

longest was 2hrs 20, shortest was 22mins

Gem13 · 10/03/2005 21:11

23 hours officially but it only hurt for the last 8.

5.5 hours second stage - that was the problem!

22 minutes, that's gotta by scary, out of control, no time to deal with type scary.

My mate who has 3 and each one was fater than the next said the faster it was the worse it was, and another mate confirmed that, that's why I was happy with my 6 hours.

lou33 · 10/03/2005 21:15

would rather fast than some of the labour times on here!

acnebride · 10/03/2005 21:16

cor dear this is a painful thread

waters breaking to birth = 7.25 hours but only 1 hr 45 mins established labour IIRC

ThomCat · 10/03/2005 21:17

True say lou, true say.

ThomCat · 10/03/2005 21:18

I was induced at about 6pm on the wednesday evening. By 8pm on the Friday I still wasn't in established labour (despite very very painful contractions since eary hours that morning - got to 2cm). Had cs in the end.

pixiefish · 10/03/2005 21:20

18 hours. first stage was 17 3/4 hours, second stage was 11 minutes
