How much did you weigh at birth? And how much did your first baby weigh?

Me: 7 lbs 1 oz; dd: 8 lbs 1 oz

Just had a quick look at this and see that only a few of us had babies who weighed less than their mums! (assuming we are talking born at term or thereabouts)

DS 8lb 13oz

I was told by my first midwife that the weight of your first is normally exactly half way between you and the dads' birth weight.

DH and I were both 8lb something but
DD was 10lb 13
DS was 12lb 4oz
theory busted!
