indiemummy · 25/04/2008 22:52

realise i'm a bit late for this but wanted to add that i am a normal (short, apple shaped, size 12, small bum big tummy) and i was told my pelvis was just too small for ds to be born naturally. after the ventouse failed and broke off and hours of literally pulling, he was born by EMCS with a massive red bruise on his head from where he'd got stuck on my pelvis, apparently. he was 8lb 6oz at term.

me and my brother were both 7lb-odd and i am a similar size / build to my mum.

oh but she is a smoker and probably smoked while pg, which I didn't.

interesting stuff...

Spottyshoes, I have a couple of friends who have recently been told that they are too small for the size of babies they produce and will have to have c-sections. I was wondering if babies are getting bigger at a faster rate than adults are. If you scroll down, you'll see a lot of posters have interesting ideas about what might affect birth size.

Me 7lbs 8ozs.. DS No 1 7lbs 8ozs (same as me) DS no 2, 7lbs exactly. Who is analyzing these figures and what will it tell us?

Do we all produce kids the same size as ourselves, or is there some extraterrestrial force or strange food we ate in pregnancy that makes us produce babies of varying sizes?
