Traditional "It would appear that I am in labour, but when will it actually get going properly thread

I have been having period like pains and backache since friday evening, last night I had an hour and a half of really intense contractions every few minutes, that suddenly stopped, had a few this morning as well, but now back to the period like pains and backache, how long could this go on for?

ah right so its another how long is a piece of string kind of question then!

i would be more surprised if you had a slow labour

the sharp pains you are feeling might be dilation!!!

non stop periody cramps, some of those trademarks sharp stabby pain mentioned below. couple of contractions and a show during the night. feel very chipper today, deffo have an energy top up from somewhere.

I've got a bit lost now. Has anybody from this thread had their baby yet?

I woke up worrying about this, so would someone be kind enough to put me out of my misery please?

I have none stop period type pains at teh front today and the same backache. have made sure my labour bag is packed and my overnight bag has been repacked and will come with us when we go out later on!

i feel so sick today

Having some slight stomach cramping this morning, but don't know if its labour related or not!

almost a week over, Some serious BH, some cramping, lasting for a few hours at a time, then nothing......so in the same boat as a few of you, needless to say, i am still here, with child....feeling fed up!!
