I have been having period like pains and backache since friday evening, last night I had an hour and a half of really intense contractions every few minutes, that suddenly stopped, had a few this morning as well, but now back to the period like pains and backache, how long could this go on for?

Sod cake, I fancy burgers, lots of them, it seems to be the only thing I've craved!

How likely is it for a sweep to work quickly?

I've managed to get my mw to come round monday afternoon (CS is booked for wed morning) to do one for me so am ripening as much as I can between now and then!

callmeovercautious · 03/04/2008 19:21

Congratulations Angua and good Luck Peachy and VS

Lulumama · 03/04/2008 21:01

sweep will work within 24 - 48 hours if it is going to set you off

if you are favourable, can you delay c.s for another day or two

VictorianSqualor · 03/04/2008 21:06

If I am favourable I will delay for a few days, I have all the forms etc so it's just changing my theatre date they'd have to do.

Lulumama · 03/04/2008 21:17

ok, sounds like a plan ! not get with the sex and nipple stim young lady !

no news here though - except that our village is nigh on inaccessible to cars when it snows and we're predicted up to 4 inches tomorrow!!!! And my doula lives in the Valleys.....
