I have been having period like pains and backache since friday evening, last night I had an hour and a half of really intense contractions every few minutes, that suddenly stopped, had a few this morning as well, but now back to the period like pains and backache, how long could this go on for?

Angua! Hurrah! Like me you just snuck in with a March birth, although yours missed being an April fool by a whisker :0

Many congratulations - you deserve it after a month of pre-labour and creating a rather impressive MN thread!

Congratulations Angua

Well We are delighted to announce the safe arrival of JAK.

He arrived at 7.40am today Wednesday 02.04.08, born at home after a very quick labour 1hour and 40 mins (ambulance arrived too late!). Weighing 9lbs with no pain relief other than TENS available (ouch!)

I am exhausted but doing ok. Baby is doing very well.

MarsLady · 02/04/2008 23:47

Yay Angua- and welcome Jak! congrats!

Started to get a (tiny) trickle of fluid after 3am last nigt, hoping it's the start of something but not called hospital as alone with kids atm. Only absolutely tiny amounts, though, si i don't think it's going to be anything to get excited about- but I can hope! They never leaked with the others, and still no contractions.

Lulumama · 03/04/2008 09:33

thanks for the email !

Lulumama · 03/04/2008 09:34

that sounds good peachy.... is the fluid clear? could be hindwater leak. i had one 36 hours before DD arrived..

MarsLady · 03/04/2008 09:38

Rest up Peach my lovely, if you can.

Lulumama · 03/04/2008 09:39

am off out in a mo, will check on things when i get back !

Peachy · 03/04/2008 09:40

Fluid is totally clear, I presumed was hindwaters- came on after a coughing fit and I thought i'd imagined it tbh but (TMI) marks opn sheets this morning .

Felt the baby enaged last nigh6t, and every time I tried to collapse on too-comfy sofa Dh kicked me off and amde me sit on the ball or squat so makes sense.

I mentioned to DH but he just laughed and went back to sleep

fryalot · 03/04/2008 09:54

they're good at laughing at you and going back to sleep, men, aren't they

sounds good peachy, fingers crossed that this is it

want a flapjack, peachy, while we wait?

MerlinsBeard · 03/04/2008 10:42
