I have been having period like pains and backache since friday evening, last night I had an hour and a half of really intense contractions every few minutes, that suddenly stopped, had a few this morning as well, but now back to the period like pains and backache, how long could this go on for?

angua...... ??????

VS... a lot can change with a cervix over a short time, as you know ! keep going with all the ripening you can !

scorpio1 · 01/04/2008 18:52

Well, what a fun day today. MW came to do internal after all aches today. I'm 3 cms but not effaced, have lost all show (was lots of blood) and Millie is as far engaged as she can get, which MW suggests started al lthe aches as she was free 5 days ago.

Am very achey but better since napping. Want it to either happen tonight or give me a break!

VictorianSqualor · 01/04/2008 19:05

littleducks · 01/04/2008 21:24

ok so my beautiful baby boy was born at 7.34 this morning, delivered in my bathroom doorway by a lovely ambulance lady!

Awoke with contractions at 5.30 so a fast and painful labour. Only regret is that they dont leave you a gas and air cylinder- after doing that on tens and a bath i'm sheepishly whinging about the afterpains! glad i got to stay at home but ther is alot of laundry now.

hold in there to anyone left, i was beyond miserable yesterday just see the posts but am much happier today!

MerlinsBeard · 01/04/2008 21:26

yay HQ and littleducks

afterpains really hurt me this time too LD. keep topped up with pain relief and deep breathing helps as well

MerlinsBeard · 01/04/2008 21:27

has MrAngua not posted yet??

littleducks · 01/04/2008 21:27

oops, ps. 7lb 2.5 ozs

MerlinsBeard · 01/04/2008 21:30

PeggySioux · 01/04/2008 21:45

Wow. Reading this thread has brought back memories. My due date is 2 weeks tomorrow but I'm trying not to feel too impatient as 2 years ago dd was 3 weeks and one day late! And she took 36 hours to get out. Eek. Please, not again!

Prisci · 02/04/2008 00:59

Whaou, congratulations indeed HQ and Littleducks!

Still hanging there....in the meanwhile ...

MarsLady · 02/04/2008 05:31

Congratulations HQ and Littleducks!

rainbowdays · 02/04/2008 06:32

Congrats to HQ and Littleducks.
Looking to hear from Angua

I have started...... after so many weeks of false starts, I am sure this is the real thing. Heavy show with blood and very painful contractions 4 mins apart currently.
Will post as soon as I can, but may be trapped in hospital with no computer access.

Obviously will come back on sooner if yet another false alarm, but sure it is not this time.

fryalot · 02/04/2008 07:06

littleducks bloody hell, girl! well done and welcome to your little boy

And well done to the ambulance crew!!!

RainbowDays - sounds positive, good luck today, will wait to hear another lovely birth story.

Lulumama · 02/04/2008 07:15

fryalot · 02/04/2008 09:29

there's nothing else for it, lulu.

You'll have to ring the hospital and ask them if they have a friendly werewolf who has just given birth

Poledra · 02/04/2008 09:49

I have been lurking on this thread since Angua started it, and congratulations to everyone on all those babies! However, what I really wanted to ask was....

Squonk, my third baby is due in July. When I start one of these threads, will you come on and cheer me up coz you do make me larf

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 09:55

Had a full nights sleep and am less achey today; blood loss has nearly stopped too MW doesn't think i will be long, hopefully not!

fryalot · 02/04/2008 10:19

congrats on your third pgy

scorpio - sounds good, sounds good.... um, Mr. Scorpio does know how to switch a computer on, doesn't he?

AAAANNNNGGGUUUUUUUUUUUUUAAAA?

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:24

Squonk - yes he does! We will post when im in labour, lol.

nezelette · 02/04/2008 10:56

HQ, Little ducks, well done!!! I'm loving the bathroom doorway story, very cool. Baby will love it in years to come!

ANGUA?????? C'mon Mr Angua!!

Peachy · 02/04/2008 12:03

Congrats Littleduck

othing here still.... 24 hours of probably-but-not-quite contractions yesterday then nothing today- grrrrrr LOL
Expecting to need the sweep Monday, but a bit sad about that as I am supposed to be going to a funeral and didn't want to miss it- MW too busy to reschedule though .

DH is off work ill, and has apparently given me a touch of the lurgy so I need to sleep now.

Rohan · 02/04/2008 17:15

OK, so I'm not in labour, or even pregnant, or a doula, but I HAVE been watching this thread since 25th Feb, and I'm afraid I may have fallen out with Mr Angua

Good luck to all, get a move on

Congratulations to those who have arrived!

fryalot · 02/04/2008 17:18

(hey, rohan - I'm not pregnant, not in labour and not a doula... I'm just a nosey interfering old cow!)

Hope everything is alright with the VonUberwalds.
