I have been having period like pains and backache since friday evening, last night I had an hour and a half of really intense contractions every few minutes, that suddenly stopped, had a few this morning as well, but now back to the period like pains and backache, how long could this go on for?

Wow, congratulations to MOM, it is actually true then that you do go into labour at some point and actually have a baby, I was starting to wonder!!!!

Nothing at all to report here, slightly achy and thats it!!!

I know I am only 38+3, but after thinking it was coming before, I am now getting FEDUP! (although aslo pretty scared)

Jaysthird, have things progressed for you?

To be clear, wasn't wondering about MOM, was wondering in general if pregnancy actually lasts for ever!

Stomach cramps now worse! Feels like it just maybe could be low grade contractions.

well had accupuncture this morning and OMG, it def felt like it was doing something, straight away giving me strong period type pains in my back etc and its still nigggling now, have had a few contractions and am just trying to keep moving going up and down the stairs and bouncing on birth ball. dp at work till late but he knows the plan for the evening

still have back ache type period pain and lots of niggly tightening etc, it seems to get worse if i move around so i am keeping busy, still not 'painful' but its not going away...

You know the sex bit, yes we know its good for soften the cervic but we need contractions, so if you upto it the best and quickest way is actually to swallow IYKWIM (sorry squemish ladies) the hormones are absorbed into the bloodstream and stimulate your hormones that are needed for contractions. Your partner will be gagging if he hears this or would that be you gagging, LOL, runs and hides behind the sofa nibbling on toast

Morning all. Have decided that this will be my last post till i am DEF in labor. i am getting very frustrated with reporting 'news' and then everything stopping, so i will lurk and let you all know!
