Feels like something is coming out?

I have no idea how to even describe it lol but I was having pressure and pain last night and the feeling that something is coming out of my vagina? Still feeling it now, especially when on the birthing ball! Like maybe a similar feeling to when you’re about have a big bit of blood come out when you’re on your period? Like something I could take out and it would be a soft ball of something😂 I don’t know😂 Nothing has actually come out yet, but just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this lol. Never felt that before, but been having the pressure and pain in my lower pelvis, bum, and back pain, for a few days. I’m 37 weeks today. Baby has been engaged since about 34 weeks I think, at least. Thanks ladies!

Thanks guys, we’ve actually stuck with Mollie for ages now. However I like the spelling Mollie and my partner likes the spelling Molly lol... any votes? Grin also @Jojo2wyatr DP seems quite keen on Rose as a middle name! It’s growing on me! Well done you lol

Oh and for the people asking, I am 38+4 tomorrow. So not gone over yet but certainly bloody feels like it though lol

HOWEVER!!! Potential update?

I’ve been timing contractions with this app, and they appear to be averaging up to 1 minute every 7-8 minutes. I’ve only timed 5 contractions with the app though, as I didn’t think to start timing them since they didn’t hurt. They’ve been happening for a good hour or two though I’d guess?
They’re frequent, but they don’t hurt very much? Perhaps just Braxton hicks? Baring in mind this is happening alongside cervix/vaginal pain. Not sure what to think yet, so just gonna keep an eye on things for now.....fingers crossed though!

Been following since you first posted! I wouldn't say braxton hicks as they're quite irregular/can't follow a pattern and usually stop if you move positions or drink/eat something.
So exciting and can't wait for your next update!

yelyahyoung · 14/02/2020 22:42

@namechangin oh cool, well hi! Grin yes that’s what I’m thinking, and I have since come up to bed and they are still happening. They were interrupting mine and DP’s valentines Dominos takeaway and EastEnders!! LOL

I'm so excited for you! That probably sounds really weird considering I've just admitted to stalking your labour story for ages - sorry!
Oh no, I think babies have a real sense for when it's inconvenient for them to arrive and decide that's when to do it Grin sorry your night got a bit spoilt though!

kikibo · 14/02/2020 23:03

FWIW about a month ago, I had slight contractions in the morning, went to my ob for pre-scheduled appointment and was found to be 7 cm dilated 🤤. Baby was born about 1.5 hours later.

That was a third baby 9 days over, though. But I had been having discomfort/pain down there too and serious pressure as well the evening before.

So not everyone feels Braxton Hicks (I can genuinely count them on one hand) or finds contractions very painful (with baby 2 and 3, they started to hurt properly for me at nearly 10 cm and 1 hr past 10 cm respectively).

Fingers crossed for you.

Icantfind · 15/02/2020 08:13

Any update this morning?!

My baby was born in her waters. I had 3 week slow labour where 4/5 times a day I’d have an hour of intense contractions coming every 5 mins then it’d stop again. She shot out in her waters in just a few minutes when she finally decided it was time to enter the world. DH caught her and broke the waters.

yelyahyoung · 15/02/2020 14:12

@namechangin it’s not weird, I am always stalking people’s posts for updates lol I think we all do it🙈 lol yeah they certainly do! Didn’t ruin my night though, bless her, it’s just uncomfortable trying to eat whilst having contractions! At least they don’t hurt! I was just hoping she might make an appearance....

No updates yet apart from I am still having these tightenings and can still time them. Still not much pain though, but a little discomfort during the night that kept waking me. Who knows what’s happening....

@kikibo ah that sounds like a nice quick labour! How nice for you. Thanks for the info

@Icantfind wow what a great story!! My mum had a similar situation with her 5th child. She didn’t feel any pain but could time the tightenings, and when little man decided to make his appearance he pretty much shot out down the bed with the waters lol!

I can’t believe she’s still not made an appearance op! I hope you’re not too uncomfortable. Keep moving as much as you can, I found walking around the house and going up and downstairs kept my contractions coming. If I say down they stopped! I must have walked about 50 miles by the time dd was born Grin

yelyahyoung · 15/02/2020 15:02

@TeddyIsAHe definitely! What is sitting! It’s way more comfortable to keep moving at this point! Must try the crab walking when going up and downstairs though, that’s supposed to help lol

Good luck when the time comes

namechangin · 16/02/2020 11:05

I'm hoping that since there's 20hours since an update there's a baby now???

yelyahyoung · 16/02/2020 14:44

No baby, and things are still the same! Grrr! Maybe it’s the slowest ever labour? Maybe I’m destined to be pregnant forever? Lol....I will post as soon as she pops out Grin

She just want to keep an eye on what's going on out there without being out bless her. I hope you have a nice easy labour when the time comes OP. We're all with you waiting (stalking)

Jojo2wyatr · 17/02/2020 20:10

@Almaldo, that's it exactly !

EarringsandLipstick · 17/02/2020 20:13

Not contractions if they a) don't hurt & b) you can talk through them.

It does sound like baby is coming soon which is great but I cannot work out what you mean about head popping out & back again 🤷🏻‍♀️ popping out of what??!

KitKat1985 · 17/02/2020 20:23

Hi OP. I hope baby comes soon for you. I echo previous poster in saying contractions are painful so if you are getting tightening's it's more likely to be Braxton Hicks. x
