Hello folks,

40+12 today. Third pregnancy but first baby. We don’t know the gender. Five years in the making with iui, icsi, ivf and finally donated eggs and sperm. Looooong story.

Was all set for home birth despite being 41 and having GD but my very comfy baby is not interested in being evicted.

I was ok waiting- it’s been an easy pregnancy but we just don’t want to put baby at any risk. So here we are. Told to come in at 8am. 11am tried a sweep but I am sealed like an Egyptian tomb. Just back from curry and walk and waiting for pessary. Join me for the fun!??!

Congratulations! He's super gorgeous, love his name and you are a super star mama! Hope you get some rest, try to take it easy (I know that's easier said than done!) and enjoy lots of newborn snuggles, they are the best! x

Thanks everyone - really appreciate your support! Barnaby was 8lb 11 and was born at 8.47 yesterday. I was quite ill afterward with an infection, very low blood, paralysed so not able to golden hour with him. He is feeding well and we were transferred to post natal where we are now- they aren’t happy with all his glucose readings. C section scar is sore but we are all happy. My husband has been amazing at handling nappies, moral support and even breast feeding advice!

The weird thing is how he is just here and that’s that - after all this waiting and wid wrong now he just is!!

How are you @CloudyVanilla

Huge congratulations @Angliski !!! He is absolutely beautiful Halo

I gave birth tonight at 22:34 to my little bundle Theodore, weighing in at 7lbs 2 oz! No c section in the end, very last minute decision to try breaking waters which worked after much difficulty.

Congratulations again OP, here is (hopefully) a pic of my little one too Grin
