In early labour now, what should I do?

I've been up since 1am and cobtractions are a bit sporadic but some very strong. I'm watching tv and mostly resting, having something small to eat and keep drinking and weeing to move around. Trying to stay in the zone I guess.

So any recommendations? Trying to keep occupied but don't want to distract too much as still quite early I reckon.

Well contractions are still painful but not so much on my back which was the excruciating part. Do you think MW was wrong and he's been turning these last couple of hours? If so I think it's better waters hadn't gone as makes it easier for them to turn doesn't it?

Jenni I reckon he's turned for sure. Dd was back to back and I remember the pain. Ds perfect position and it was so much different

CuriosityCola · 26/08/2013 19:50

Sounds like baby could have been turning.

Doesn't everyone just fib about their contraction timings when they want to go in to hospital? Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 26/08/2013 19:52

My friend gave birth with her contractions ten minutes apart Shock

Thank you so much everyone for your messages. It was a real struggle this last 10 days and it it absolutely helped to be able to chat to people on here :)

When I went back to the hospital when DD went to sleep they weren't thinking I was doing that well, but turned out I was 5-6cm and after the exam things kicked off much stronger. I just made it to the pool, where my waters broke and Ben came flying out! Managed to be home by 4am and DD found her baby brother in the crib when she came inim the morning :)
Am now severely sleep deprived after all those nights of broken sleep!

Wow so good that you managed to get home at that time and how lovely for your dd! Fingers crossed he's a sleeper Wink
