...but that last BH made my eyes water. And the previous two weren't very comfortable, either.

Um. I have a surveyor coming round to the house on Monday and I also booked in to get my roots done for Monday afternoon.

We are trying to get DS through bath time and bedtime at the mo'.

And DH wants to go and get a takeaway after DS is in bed.

The house is in a state as well.

Look, this isn't a veery convenient time.

Okay, if things are kicking off, which I hope they aren't and bet they aren't now I've started a thread about it, how can I slow it down/stop it for a couple of days?

I've only got red pompoms, but I've got rose wine (can't do the squiggly French bit) and chips if anyone's flagging.

NicNocJnr · 01/06/2012 20:48

Starlight- 2L?! Madness! Is your 3yo 6 foot?! Also poor baby, I clearly remember my tonsillectomy, not fun Sad hope she's feeling much better now.
Well if it's good and fresh then great! Much better than paracetamol on it's own. 60mg is a standard TR dose and likely what MW will advise.
Don't want to be saying anything that will cause probs but as not prescribed for you MW probably didn't give you doses as she thought it was? I don't expect an answer btw...just giving it a quick mention as it's a POM.
Good luck to you too.

Sending lots of backrubs to you Jars. MW is probably doing horrible things to you so will just keep my fingers crossed for good news x

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 20:51

Yep, and with no childproof cap. Hmm

RationalBrain · 01/06/2012 20:52

Ah yes, helpful advice. This one comes courtesy of my independent midwife fom my second birth (home birth)....

Imagine your cervix is a flower, feel the petals unfolding. It's pressure not pain. Imagine holding your new baby.

To which I replied "I don't give a f*ck about the baby, give me the gas and air" It kind of went downhill after that!

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 20:53

So, is the baby midwife there yet?

NicNocJnr · 01/06/2012 20:59

A flower...a flower...I can't get over this.

No sentient creature would have thought it a good idea to go full twit on me like that. Honestly. I actually am a very calm kiddo squirter outer but that is beyond the pale.
Dh would've hidden the biscuits! RB - hope you got your G&A (at least).

RationalBrain · 01/06/2012 21:02

Actually I didn't, apparently she wanted me to feel the pushing, so no g&a, and I was too far gone after that to remember about it. I can certainly still feel 4 hours of fecking pushing 3 years later. thank god she had a more sensible midwife back up with her

StarlightMaJesty · 01/06/2012 21:04

If I have to imagine anything it is a cervix tbh, but I'd rather just scream!

Kaloobear · 01/06/2012 21:11

How are you doing OP?

openerofjars · 01/06/2012 21:17

4 cm, posterior at the mo, cx every 5 mins.

NicNocJnr · 01/06/2012 21:26

Yay! Jars agogo! Great news.

RB - I am so Angry on your behalf. I suspect you did feel that bloody pushing. I'm wanting her to feel me pushing her bottle of patchouli right up her...nostril.

Good luck Jars!
