Sorry to be a moan-arse

I'm just fed up of the anticipation now, I hate not knowing what to expect :( One minute i'm fine then it gets to this time in the morning wheni'm at home alone - everyone else at work and my mind goes on overdrive.

The past week I have not been sleeping well at night due to thinking too much about labour/birth/after birth etc. and my back is starting to ache lying on my left grrr i try to alternate but have to go back to my left otherwise i worry!

Due date is Friday, I have my 40 week check two days early on wednesday and just eager to know if baby is still in a good position/ if my iron has gone up etc...

Its not knowing what to expect that is worrying me! feeling so pants today :(

anyone else in the same boat and fancy a moan? lol

Ive just been for a walk and got some nice bath stuff to cheer me up :) Was feed up with DH last night when he was telling me about trips to the football on Thursday night and Sunday afternoon - he has now decided not to go as baby could be here anytime.
Feel like my life is totally on hold and everyone else just carrying on as normal. (excluding you guys!)
Had loads of pelvis pain so not really up to driving at the moment also got a 5 and 3yr old so just wanting to feel bit normal again.

Good luck everyone - I'm thinking bring on the pain then I know I'm getting somewhere :)

Dozeyland · 19/10/2010 12:20

Yeah I have that feeling sometimes, Everyone else can just get on with things but they still want to keep asking "any change?"

And you're like............NO im STILL waiting like i was yesterday!!

Yeh i'm going for a walk in a bit to grab a hot chocolate, come back relax for a bit, then food shopping, then a long walk later on up a hilly treck!

I have been having more frequent bowel movements, baby is moving still but not too much, BH's are still appearing, been having loads lately. and CM is more watery?

Dozeyland · 19/10/2010 20:08

sassie23 · 19/10/2010 21:31

yep been on it every evening for ages but trying sitting on chair backwards if you know what I mean legs spread opens the pelvis apparently Confused

DomesticG0ddess · 20/10/2010 07:59

smithy, I have loads of pelvic pain too. Had to literally limp around after my 3 yr old all day yesterday. I keep getting back ache too, also in the night, but it doesn't seem to mean anything! Terrible night's sleep and then retching when I got up. Even had a little cry and it's only just 8am!!!

WorrisomeHeart · 20/10/2010 08:06

Still here.. Sad Second sweep today, so hopefully will get better news than the last one..

Domestic - poor you, that sounds horrid!

smithy100 · 20/10/2010 09:00

DomesticGoddess poor you I've had little cry too this morning :) As didn't sleep last night was up from 2 till about 4.30 even had a scone and jam and 3.30am just for something to do!

Let all try and keep positive I've been told that if you have had pelvic pain it makes for an easier birth because everything is moving around. I've booked myself onto a natal hypnotherapy day tomorrow hope to get so relaxed that baby will arrive at the weekend.

I've still got loads of jobs to do and I'm sure when they are all done baby will make an appearance.

Someone told me to book a real treat for yourself something you really want to do - fate will make baby come and then you can't do it Hmm

Hope everyone has a better day. xx

DomesticG0ddess · 20/10/2010 13:20

Have actually felt fine since this morning, about to go for another walk as my pelvis seems better. Good luck with the sweep WH. I don't see my midwife now til next Tues and I'll be 40+4 by then, perhaps she will offer a sweep then. smithy, I was awake at that time too and then DS woke me up at 6.30am Angry. Oh well, it's probably still more sleep than we're going to have for the first few weeks of the baby's life! (months? can't remember!)

sassie23 · 20/10/2010 16:31

HOw is everyone doing today? WH any joy with the sweep ? Its hateful being awake in the middle of the night and I think my morning sickness symptoms are coming back. Felt queasy all day today and was waking up in the night with that acid stomach feeling you get when you are starving hungry. Still no signs here...

WorrisomeHeart · 20/10/2010 17:17

Hi folks

Sweep was a no-go - m/w said it wasn't even worth attempting as it was so far back and closed up. Sad So am getting into the induction mindset for Sunday. At least I was able to pump her for info on how it would all work and what would happen.

Domestic glad the pelvis is feeling better!

sassie not fair on getting the m/s back, as if you haven't got enough to deal with! Hope you feel better soon.

smothy hope the hypnotherapy course is good. I've been doing the CD and have found it great - in fact, got to practice my breathing and relaxation techniques during the internal this morning!

Nothing from dozey today? Hope that means her baby's on the move!

Hermya321 · 20/10/2010 18:37

Hmmm I think I'm going to check myself in here as well, 39+2 and feeling a bit fed up. I've had lots of niggles, but like a cheap date they just don't go anywhere promising.

sassie23 · 20/10/2010 18:43

Oh dear
worrisomeheart Im sure it will be the same re sweep for me on Friday feels like a bit of a wasted journey for me and DH before we even go, I know I know should be more positive!!
Smithy yea been doing the hypnobirthing cd too but haven't been able to locate the rainbow relaxation cd as Im too tight to go on course. I do find it really good for calming my nerves and getting plenty of practice in during the waiting time definitely helped through last weeks internal WH welcome Hermya321 to the waiting game

Justanormalmum · 20/10/2010 19:10

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to check in. I am 40+10 today and arranged a sweep for Friday. Really hope it moves me along as otherwise induction on Sunday.

Had a nice massage today and am going to have ANOTHER hot curry tonight too. Yum.

smithy100 · 21/10/2010 09:32

Morning everyone - how you all feeling? I had a better night went to bed late so I was really tired. One of the best ways to get it all going (so I'm told) is too have sex. Told DH to get ready at the weekend - he wasn't keen! Said he would rather have a hot curry :))
Good to hear that some of you have listened to hypno CDs. I'm looking forward to the course today although got to cut it short to do the school run. Hate being in the car so uncomfortable.

Have a good day - I'll check back tomorrow x

sassie23 · 21/10/2010 09:56

Not feeling too bad this morning. Just trying really hard to get LO into anterior position or we'll never get there.Think it does move round sometimes then swings back into place. Feeling quite sore in my back this am too but think that might be just all the kneeling on all fours!Had my RLT this morning really gives me diarrhoea sorry TMI any news from anyone this morning fingers crossed

WorrisomeHeart · 21/10/2010 10:28

Hi all

Am not feeling too bad this morning, although decided to go into town to do some shopping but then got a bit nervous about being by myself so decided to come home. I am all about just being safe in my little nest at the moment, which is daft really as the shops are only 15 mins walk from our place. Ah well, at least it's cosy here and DH is going to come shopping with me on Sat so I can get the last few bits and pieces I wanted to get today.

LO is kicking around like a mad thing, so I guess he's still perfectly happy and I've repacked the hospital bags AGAIN... Am v bored - 6 weeks of mat leave up and still no baby. Sad

smithy we tried the whole sex to start labour thing the other night - without giving TMI, DH got quite worried about LO in a certain position, which of course ruined the mood completely!! It's quite funny really!! I can't stomach curry (even the mild ones!) so that's a no go for us.

sassie are you bouncing on the ball too? The m/w said yesterday that the LO was slightly anterior (he tends to move around a lot) and to sit forward on the ball and couch.

Have a good day all - fingers crossed for some arrivals!

Justanormalmum · 21/10/2010 10:36

Morning everyone!

I look at this thread every morning with excitement in case one of the babies has arrived! Nothing going on here. Very hot curry last night and planning sex tonight (how romantic...!!) so we'll see.

Fingers crossed for everyone.
