ive seen adverts for this on fb. they claim to be able to cure anxiety in young people. im suspicious - and nowhere does it tell you the cost. however im fairly desperate since my 16 year old is very disabled by anxiety. thanks

Reminds me of one of Sam's replies to a negative TP review...

GoodButNaughty · 17/06/2021 21:10

@JungleMum40 - I didn’t ask for an answer to my lengthy post, and I certainly would discount one from anyone who couldn’t even be bothered to read the post... I mean, really?! Hmm

SwanShaped · 17/06/2021 21:11

Oh, I see pseudo. I’m not quite sure where I’ve been hateful. Maybe jungle could quote the bits where I’ve been hateful?

HoldontoOneMoreDay · 17/06/2021 21:12

I'm neither depressed nor bitter. I have no skin in this game. Just knowledge and deep understanding of a flawed industry.

I could read a hundred books about surgery. I have in fact watched every single episode of Gray's Anatomy. I suspect though that you wouldn't want me amputating your leg?

Coaching is exactly the same. Coaches have no training in these areas. They may have read up on a couple of techniques that resonate with you (and that's great) but they are untrained. That's not on you. They shouldn't be practicing this way.

Hopefully you'll get some clarity- all the posts I've seen from you have been very helpful and always dignified
JungleMum40 · 17/06/2021 21:14

I have a question. Does anyone know Jackie weaver ?
@Mibb @Mibb2 You all agreed that there were people on here having 2 profiles…
@SwanShaped I will be happy too! Got a few lined up if you want me to go through and count them.
@Psuedoshoes I repeat myself again… I did not know Sam or Martin before this. They are both really lovely people.

JungleMum40 · 17/06/2021 21:15

Self helped books, when I had depression.

So my mentor just knows it through the click of their fingers do they, falls to them from the sky.

JungleMum40 · 17/06/2021 21:17

Plus do you really think that all of us on here who have our kids going through this would be horrible enough to carry on going if we thought it was Dangerous, harmless, or of ill doing. I don’t think so, so before you make accusations without even having tried the programme I suggest you stop attacking, and start understanding then maybe just maybe you will gain some compassion for others, not just for the people who ‘agree’ with your actions.

SwanShaped · 17/06/2021 21:17

Yeah, go for it jungle

Mibb2 · 17/06/2021 21:18

jungle, it's really bad form to go onto a thread in the mental health section and used "being depressed" as a way to put someone down.

SwanShaped · 17/06/2021 21:19

That’s a helpful analogy holdonto

GoodButNaughty · 17/06/2021 21:21

@JungleMum40 of course you didn’t know Sam and Martin before you joined the YCFF formula. I am confident if you did know them before there’s no way you’d have got involved in something where:

  • they have NO expertise or knowledge
  • they have been involved in prior unscrupulous business practices
  • they’ve harrassed and intimidated people to such an extent they caused extreme distress to them

So - it’s fine; I believe you had no idea who these dangerous people were... Angry

JungleMum40 · 17/06/2021 21:21

@Mibb @Mibb2
I’m not putting down or judging anyone, I’m simply saying I was depressed, look we have all had bad shit happen to us. I get that, but everyone on here including the founders of YCFF have feelings, we all do, could you imagine if you were going through this or going through counselling and someone tried to take it away from you, your intimate feeling would be why and what the f*.

SwanShaped · 17/06/2021 21:21

On a side note, I meant prey on children. Not pray.

Mibb2 · 17/06/2021 21:21

jungle I mentioned a few posters sounded similar. People change user name on MN all the time.

DoubleTweenQueen · 17/06/2021 21:23

@SwanShaped Grin

JungleMum40 · 17/06/2021 21:23

@GoodButNaughty You’re the dangerous and unscrupulous one here. Trying to do something that you know deep down is so wrong on so many levels. I didn’t even know what anxiety was before YCFF so I can also now say Im confident that my DD is only going up from here.

GoodButNaughty · 17/06/2021 21:23

@JungleMum40 - I say this slowly so hopefully you understand it...

I do not need to do the YCFF Formula.

My lovely dear anxious friend did the YCFF Formula.

She is damaged, intimidated and out of pocket significantly following doing so and her DD is in a much worse state now that before she started!

I don’t know how much clearer I can be...Confused

SwanShaped · 17/06/2021 21:25

I agree with you about the founders’ feelings jungle. I’m sure they/you are finding this very upsetting.

I reported a poster at the beginning as she was making the same grammatical errors as another poster. jungle makes a few recognisable errors too.

SwanShaped · 17/06/2021 21:26

@DoubleTweenQueen 🙏

JungleMum40 · 17/06/2021 21:27

@GoodButNaughty Im sorry you have had a bad time. Not everyone knows how to cope. However it is true that you have not been through it, you have no intention or interest of gaining anything knowledgable to help others and What makes matters worse is that you have potentially stopped these mums and others from seeking amazing concrete help. That’s all.

JungleMum40 · 17/06/2021 21:28

@SwanShaped I sense that you would like to seek help, I have been at the point in my life where I have not wanted to carry on, thankfully not now because of my DD.
I joined this thread way after any of the first posters so no I am not someone else.

Mibb2 · 17/06/2021 21:28

jungle if YCFF stop providing you with the service, that is on them, not some people on Mumsnet. They were using a high ticket coaching business model which is totally inappropriate for a company providing child mental health support, and they were publicly sharing children's sensitive information and identities on their website. Maybe they can find a more ethical way to continue their business.

Psuedoshoes · 17/06/2021 21:31

Hope you've spent your time off jungle trying to get the toxic atmosphere in your gym sorted. Having worked in a gym when I was younger and a regular gym goer now, I must admit a gym is the last place I'd expect to see such horrendous behaviour! Really very strange, really hope you get to the bottom of whatever is going on there and manage to make some much needed changes.

GoodButNaughty · 17/06/2021 21:33

@JungleMum40 - nope, you’re still not getting it.

I give up with you I really do Hmm. At this point it might help if you actually read my long thread...
