ive seen adverts for this on fb. they claim to be able to cure anxiety in young people. im suspicious - and nowhere does it tell you the cost. however im fairly desperate since my 16 year old is very disabled by anxiety. thanks

What did you study at university?
This isn’t even about YCFF anymore it’s about getting one up on people who are trying to do something about it. I have honestly spent too much time wasting my breath to people who can’t be bothered to listen.

DoubleTweenQueen · 15/06/2021 14:39

@JungleMum40 You brought up your expertise, to try to make some sort of point

JungleMum40 · 15/06/2021 14:42

@DoubleTweenQueen When someone is making false statements about science when I studied it for 4 years, worked hard and came out with a 1st then yes, I am going to stick up for myself. My point being that the credibility of your answers are not reliable sources of evidence. And that next time I go for help in regards to something else problematic I will not being going onto mums net as it states ‘ Mumsnetters aren't necessarily qualified to help if your child is unwell. If you need professional help’ I rest my case.

Comfysofa78 · 15/06/2021 14:53

Part of my degree was neurobiology, I have certificates but I would in no way call myself ‘qualified’ or ‘a professional’.

Perhaps Sam will stop commenting soon, if I am wrong I really hope you do well.

Anything in this area should be approved/audited by independent professionals. Not self assessed by the MD.

GoodButNaughty · 15/06/2021 14:57

I for one would LOVE to see your qualifications Jungle... but your academic achievements are irrelevant when your EQ is below where it needs to be to see that the business practices the Robins are using are dangerous, damaging and pseudo-science.

I have a new piece of information to add:

On the YCFF page Sam mentions 'Mark and Lucy'. These are the people who run this company. These guys are another questionable company with very low morals who prey on desperate business owners and have all the reasons you can think of for their limited online presence (they explicitly refer to it!).

I understand from another amazing PM person that Sam and Martin did their 'training' with these guys, hence their pricing model and approach to weeding out clients who will 'see through' their questionable approaches.

highticketcoachingacademy.com/

Check it out - I think this only adds to discredit them even further.

JungleMum40 · 15/06/2021 15:21

This is exactly why I did my degree, My name is Ada I have told you this so many times but again you do not listen. I am not feeding into this ridiculous thread anymore, my time is precious and I would rather spend it helping my DD with my lovely support network now, they are great people I don’t know how anybody can be so nasty and rude.

GoodButNaughty · 15/06/2021 15:54

Okay for (hopefully) the last time Jungle - if you are 'Ada' that's great. I neither beleive you or not, and it doesnt really matter to me tbh. The fact is that it doesnt't stop you from providing your log in details to Mumsnet to Sam so that she can also post using your profile of JungleMum40 - does it?

We (those who are calling out YCFF and STILL seeking answers to many questions) are not stopping you or anyone else from seeking help or making their own mind up about doing the programme; they can do this, if they want and they can afford it. What impact have we had on YCFF providing the formula to anyone? Have they had to stop??

Most posters who have read the whole thread are now able to see that the business practices we have posted about (NOT the formula, which is questionable to say the least, but may engender 'hope' which has been shown to be an important factor in managing anxiety) of YCFF are inappropriate.

I for one, don't mind what you post, as nothing I am reading from you has any credibility. Others can, as you correctly state, make up their own mind.

They can see that we are not being 'nasty' - and if I have been 'rude' then it is because I am pretty annoyed at having false accusations levied at me!

I would be VERY keen for new posters to post on this thread who have read the whole thread, and ask them what their considered opinion is of what has been said.

I will be posting tomorrow with some really interesting information following the meeting with my therapist freind earlier (and dont worry Jungle - she is also busy seeing clients, and is making the time to do this for me as a freind and because she is deeply passionate about young people's wellbeing!).

JungleMum40 · 15/06/2021 16:12

@GoodButNaughty
Hopefully Yes! Why would I give anyone my log in details, I am someone going through this process with my daughter that should be enough for you. But as you have no compassion for me and that I am Ada I have told you my story and you STILL continue to discredit me.

People have answered your questions and you have picked them apart and pointed fingers. They are not dangerous, I don't understand when you have a whole pile of Mums and children that have gone through this process, told you about it and then you have pretty much called them liars.

You stated this is for your friend so how are you in any position to 'judge' others when you haven't even tried it? So therefore where is your credibility?
The reason you think I have no credibility is because I do not agree with what you are saying so there by you don't like what I say because it challenges you. When may I add again I am going through it ?
They are not false, I have been the one who has kept trying to show you its not a scam etc and you still continue to push me into a corner.

May I just add that it seems to be you getting yourself wrapped up in this as you seem to have far to much time in the day.

Oh good I am glad, If there are therapists out there that have the time to do this when it is clearly a working stragtagy and the evidence that backs it up on trust pilot and on the website. Then I would love to know what part of a child wellbeing she is interested in, because it clearly isn't helping.

I hope people read this and decide for themselves that my heart is completely with my DD who is going through this and that I have stuck up for myself knowing this is helping my family. And at the end of the day thats all that matters.

TeenMinusTests · 15/06/2021 16:37

Jungle The reason people are not trusting you wholeheartedly is more to do with your emotive way of writing that lack much detail on the guidance/advice that YCFF is actually giving you, which apparently is too complicated for you to explain.

People disagree the whole time on MN, there is no need to take it personally. This is a thread about YCFF, if you want to help support it based on your experiences so far then do so, but for many parents I think you would support it better by being more factual and less emotional.

Our hearts are all with our DCs. Many of us find we also need our heads to be there too when choosing support.

DoubleTweenQueen · 15/06/2021 17:00

@JungleMum40 You write a lot, but don't say an awful lot of any merit or point in hand, and repeat yourself/lash out at others
You've said nothing that counters my summary @13:57

Mibb2 · 15/06/2021 17:22

Good - Wow I've just had a look at highticketcoachingacademy.com/
This does not seem an appropriate business model for mental health services.

DoubleTweenQueen · 15/06/2021 17:28

@GoodButNaughty I wonder if YCFF uses this method? The Linden Anxiety Recovery method can be studied to nfce level 4. SR has ncfe level 4 in anxiety recovery but doesn't specify LAR.
Linden Method website seems to have standing. Have seen a cost of 'from £179' and I think they suggest 3 seminars to teach the method. I just wonder if there's a link?

DoubleTweenQueen · 15/06/2021 17:29

@GoodButNaughty Forgot to supply URL
www.thelindenmethod.direct/

GoodButNaughty · 15/06/2021 17:38

Double - yes I’ve looked at the linden method and I’m completely sure this is it

Psuedoshoes · 15/06/2021 17:39

Could anyone reading this who has went through the process with YCFF please post the clause from the contract which states the terms of the guarantee they provide? Thanks Smile

Psuedoshoes · 15/06/2021 17:43
Expertly worded, I see Grin
Mibb2 · 15/06/2021 20:21

The YCFF website has gone offline.

DoubleTweenQueen · 15/06/2021 20:23

@Mibb2 Your htca link! Shock And they turned over £100k in a month earlier this year...........

GoodButNaughty · 15/06/2021 20:30

Mibb2 I’m confident that the YCFF site going down is due to my amazing therapist friends actions!! Yay yay yay Smile

DoubleTweenQueen · 15/06/2021 20:40

@GoodButNaughty Star

100k in a month after 12months htca is a lot of desperate people. I hope there are other interesting activities afoot and these people won't be able to just set up and continue under another incarnation.

I've not been aware of these tactics before - but I've recently noticed a personal trainer near me seems to have a similar setup and I keep getting his popups (FB ads)

SwanShaped · 15/06/2021 20:41

That’s great the YCFF site has gone! I’ve no doubt that a new version will pop up somehow. Linden method looks very shady. I’ve not looked at high ticket yet. Thanks to your therapist friend. I never expected this thread to have become so involved. I work in an area that involves safeguarding and child protection and a lot of this horrifies me. It’s clear that Sam has been reading this thread and I do wonder about the identity of Ada. It’s interesting that other people teen for example, have shared what worked for their child. And I’m sure if I’d said ‘that didn’t work for us’ she wouldn’t have started getting very angry and defensive at me. The thread has been criticising YCFF, not individual parents. Which makes me wonder why Ada is so personally offended by us questioning it. And wonder who she is.

DoubleTweenQueen · 15/06/2021 20:41

Where's Jungle this evening?

DoubleTweenQueen · 15/06/2021 20:43

@SwanShaped Snap!

SwanShaped · 15/06/2021 20:44

God just looked up high ticket. Seems dodgy as fuck. Who on earth makes £18k a month or whatever crazy figures they’re splashing around.
