ive seen adverts for this on fb. they claim to be able to cure anxiety in young people. im suspicious - and nowhere does it tell you the cost. however im fairly desperate since my 16 year old is very disabled by anxiety. thanks

I am definitely going to start this week with that offer in place.
I’m not losing my daughter to anxiety and quite frankly not losing my life to hurtful posts on here from mums who haven’t tried it. I’m soulfully focusing on my child’s well being.

My DD has definitely more than anxiety, which is why the anti-depressants have had such a benefit now she is on the right dose.

TeenMinusTests · 30/05/2021 13:55

O oh. Why have Maria's posts been deleted? Did posting the leaflet count as advertising or was she being disingenuous?

DoubleTweenQueen · 30/05/2021 13:55

Why was @Maria201036 's post deleted?

TeenMinusTests · 30/05/2021 13:59

Their website now says STOP making your child worse - STOP following the herd - STOP listening to the chat forums!

TeenMinusTests · 30/05/2021 14:05

One thing I don't understand is they 'only treat children with anxiety' but yet say We are the only company of people in the UK providing a solution for children and young people suffering with Anxiety, OCD, Agoraphobia, Emetophobia, Pure O, Anorexia and self-harm, ADHD, PTSD and all the other ghastly effects anxiety has on our children.

In particular I thought that PTSD was different from anxiety? I have considered REMD for my DD but it seems to be more for PTSD than anxiety?

Furthermore ADHD is a different condition again, isn't it?

I think probably advertising, yes.
DoubleTweenQueen · 30/05/2021 14:08

@TeenMinusTests Bang on Flowers

JungleMum40 · 30/05/2021 14:11

There seems to be 2 of you on here that have not listened to anything, I keep getting notifications, if you want to start making unless comments, take it somewhere else? At least I’m trying to do something now, I am booking in for the week, think you ladies should as well instead of wasting your time on here going back and forth and not making anything better ?

TeenMinusTests · 30/05/2021 14:22

Sorry Jungle you don't to say what we can say on this thread. I am very much doing 'something' with my DD which is why, gradually, she is improving. I'm not going to stop her existing input to try something expensive and random.

I'm risk averse, which I know means sometimes I miss out on fantastic offers, but it also protects me and my family from companies that promise more than they can deliver.

To be fair, I am using this thread partly as intellectual exercise, but also partly because I don't want to see desperate people spending £5k on something without thinking about whether they really want to.

Since this thread started the company has already removed incorrect claims about 100% success, and moved to a try before commit policy, both of which I am sure you would agree are beneficial changes.

DoubleTweenQueen · 30/05/2021 14:22

I will likely take my comments to the Care Quality Commission. See how they view this organisation and how it fits, legally.

JungleMum40 · 30/05/2021 14:28

Too both of you! This is silly we are all adults here, I don’t think what you’re saying is at all very helpful ? Children are commuting my suicide every day because of comments on their social media platforms, quite frankly I’m shocked that mums are arguing over mums net ? If you are trying to ‘exercise’ your opinion then At least be kind and heart felt, what if one of your children works somewhere and they start receiving hate you wouldn’t have it would you ? All I’m asking is that you be kind and stop hating people for trying to help others ? Like my gym you have to have the will power to change yourself, think before you start plastering this on social media platforms?

JungleMum40 · 30/05/2021 14:29

Committing suicide *

TeenMinusTests · 30/05/2021 14:34

No one is 'hating'!

MN permits freedom of speech, posters here are being inquiring and skeptical that is all. Feel free to report any posts you think are overstepping talk guidelines.

dappledsunshine · 30/05/2021 14:36

Who's arguing @JungleMum40? We are all entitled to our opinion, no one is being rude or "bullying" you. If you don't like the comments on the thread then leave.

You've obviously made your decision, I wish you luck with that but respectfully others are entitled to be sceptical and examine these claims in further detail.

JungleMum40 · 30/05/2021 14:38

@TeenMinusTests
Some of the helpful comments have been deleted, people who have been through it ? Can you see what I mean though ? I think if you look at some of the comments it is hate ? This company is trying to do their best to help people with actual results ? For the purpose of your children, i have had so many people come to me feeling like they want to commit suicide it’s an awful place at the moment so any hope and beacons of light like this company should be more appreciated! I have been back on there and no one is making you sign up and is now giving you a weeks free? What more could you want for your child but for them to be happy, us women have to stick together, not push others away from help that is really needed.

JungleMum40 · 30/05/2021 14:40

@dappledsunshine
Then talk about it in private messages ? I am entitled to stay and argue my point when people are telling me it’s a scam when it is clearly not ? I think I have said all that I need to say, you can’t help people who don’t want to be helped.

dappledsunshine · 30/05/2021 14:46

@JungleMum40 why should we have to discuss it in private messages? This is a public forum, free speech and all that Hmm

JungleMum40 · 30/05/2021 14:48

@dappledsunshine

If you don’t want the help, don’t stop people from wanting to receive it, you’re allowed your opinion but just be aware of some hurt you might cause others? That’s all I’m saying, this forum is meant to be helpful, it’s just upset me more than anything. I just want to help my child, if you don’t want to do it no one is making you so why waste your time talking on here trying to find things to pick on ?

dappledsunshine · 30/05/2021 14:52

Nice try @JungleMum40 with the attempt to guilt trip me. Your comments are actually offensive & I won't be engaging with you any more. You have no idea the lengths I have gone to in order to help my child.

I suspect you are one of the MLM crew in a thinly veiled disguise.

DoubleTweenQueen · 30/05/2021 14:56

@JungleMum40 As someone who has been very devastated by suicide in my family, I would appreciate it if you would quit referencing it so frequently in your posts. It strikes me as emotive exploitation.

JungleMum40 · 30/05/2021 14:58

@dappledsunshine
As I have not said anything offensive! I would like you to point out where I have been offensive ? And you have no idea what I have done with my child either. I also have no idea what MLM crew is ? I am a mum with a very lovely daughter who I am trying to do the best for.

Everybody is fighting a battle but it’s your conscious decision to be kind.

JungleMum40 · 30/05/2021 14:59

@DoubleTweenQueen

I’m sorry you have been through that, So have I as I have said this is actually why we should be kind ? Everyone is going through tough lives, but it’s not fair to be targeting a company who is exclusively trying to help the wellbeing of our children.

TeenMinusTests · 30/05/2021 15:03

MN is a place where critical thinking is permitted. Posts are deleted for breaking talk guidelines e.g. sock-puppeting, not for being enquiring.

In the same way I don't use homeopathy, I am not inclined to try something with little external evidence base.

We are all trying to do our best by our children. If you are happy with the organisation then go and use it, and come back and tell us about it.
